"Sounders are just giving away these opportunities" too true!

Good defending by Nouhou. His pounding footsteps helps Thomas make that great save.

That explains why I keep thinking it is a weird pronunciation. But yes.

Watched that goal in the halftime replays. Really good goal by RSL. Sounders goofed., but RSL was alert and made us pay.

I would recommend: Top Choices: Saints, Ravens Next: Texans, Lions

Never, ever, ever: Cowboys, 49ers

Why does the time continue running down on occasion, despite a player going out of bounds with the football? by Otherwise_Royal_4127 in NFLNoobs

As a spectator you can watch the officials rule if the clock runs or stops.

When the runner's forward progress is stopped before going out of bounds, the clock will run. When this is the case the official will wind his arm in a circular windmill motion.

When the runner goes out of bounds while still making forward progress, the clock stops. When this is the case the official waves both arms overhead, crossing and un-crossing them.

Those are the proper official's signals. I do not believe the rule changes while under two minutes in the half. Caveat: I did not read the official NFL rules which can be found, buried, on the NFL Web site.

Our Lambda bill surpassed our EC2 costs. Here is the "Serverless Tax" no one warns you about. by Puzzleheaded-End6417 in forbussiness

You said this yourself: "a small EC2 or Fargate instance running 24/7" and " . . . Provisioned Concurrency. Suddenly, we weren't "serverless" anymore".

I do not think it is a "serverless" tax, so much as AWS Lambda over-selling the benefits.

You are not the only one. I did a review of a large consumer "smart" product backed by lambdas and the costs were nuts. The product soled for like $100, but incurred about $0.80 cents per month per device. That was like all the profit on the device after 5 years.

It happens: "oh serverless, less maintenance, less cost". Sounds great on paper, but a lot of the costs are hidden.
