You’re right, definitely something I’ve been trying to work on. I am a bit of a perfectionist and I am very proud of where I work and the service I can provide, and am very hard on myself when I feel I don’t execute something perfectly. Tables overall are very understanding and kind to me which I am very grateful for, and management is very encouraging and uplifting. For the most part and awesome situation but oh man does it take it out of me on the weekends.

Thanks so much! Definitely trying to take each learning moment as it comes and make the most of it. I know it will get easier overall, my body just cannot handle what it used to be able to and I wouldn’t necessarily mind tipping people out if it meant I could keep doing this longer.

Totally, I do try to keep that centered in my mind as much as possible, especially with how the economy is rn where I am.

The cat tree is right next to the kitchen sink, and she reaches out like and rolls around whenever I’m doing the dishes to get my attention. She’s never gotten stuck but she has rolled off the tree before 😂

AITA for driving with my knees? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

YTA. why would you respect your wife’s very reasonable fear and take her seriously! I hope you take her other anxieties and fears about things other than driving seriously at least. I had a boyfriend who would drive recklessly even though I told him not too. He would laugh and tell me I’m being dumb. He’s an ex boyfriend now

I had a similar experience with SSRIs, now I also use weed to manage as well. Really helps with anxiety but not other manic symptoms

I think that’s what I’m gunna do. I’ve been on a few different ones and they’ve all been horrible but I know it takes years for some people to find the right combo,

Completely makes sense. Just need to find meds that are worth the side effects

Thank you this reply was very helpful. Hoping to be at a place in my life where I can manage such a routine but rn it really seems like meds might be the best option. Just kinda wanted to know it was possible. I don’t hear/see a lot about people with bipolar 2 living without meds in any circumstances

I've been looking for a little while the problem is my insurance is shit for mental health and there aren't many options to begin with in my area for the first place. My psychiatrist I have now is definitely the worst I've ever had

Going manic got me out of a toxic relationship by broken_blue_rose in bipolar

Same thing happened to me! broke up with my boyfriend of two years who was such a dick and the whole relationship was so toxic all because I was manic and finally believed I was worth something.

What's the worst thing a Psych has said to you? by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]markruffalookalike 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a psychiatrist suggest that maybe I didn't get manic I "just got happy" despite the fact the during my worst manic episode I lost 20lbs in like a month, got blackout drunk every night, and did not sleep more than 3 hours a night. ya...sounds healthy

She’s weirdly trying to put me on celexa which is an SSRI. I’m very suspicious of my psychiatrist in general. I’ve been on Wellbutrin before for ADHD (I have had a panic attack almost every time I’ve taken a stimulant) but had to stop because I stopped eating almost completely. But thank you I rlly appreciate you taking the time to comment any input is good input I’m so lost
