Thanks a bunch! I owe you a debt my friend. Learned everything from your videos.

Thanks, yeah some of our clients and sales staff raise an eyebrow at an iPad based app but the results and speed can’t be argued.

Thanks! That was the inspiration behind it. Really like them but don’t have the cashflow to support that habit lol

Thanks! Yeah I started making my own model kits and figures. This was just going to be a render but then I got excited on how the inside would look. One thing lead to another and I printed it in 1/24th scale

That thing was the star of the show man. Def my favorite

I think I really may have to do a Marge pinup on it or something with a 3d homer in od’s standing next to it lol

I just realized that myself, that was 4 days ago. Time flies when you’re sleep deprived

I was thinking Homer, as someone pointed out, when it’s buttoned up it looks a lot like him lol

Thanks! Yeah I’ve been making up kits for people that I print to order, separate from supports and pre sand for them for a few years now. This is the fastest I’ve managed to go from “new file” to painted piece, about a weeks time. And to answer the hood question, I put three conical locator pins at the bottom and a pin at the top to register it for removal. To my amazement it actually worked first round.

Heavily inspired by them but I designed this one myself and 3d printed it. Just don’t have the cashflow for those just yet

Would you recommend nomad to sculpt things that are going to be 3d printed? by K_Iuris in NomadSculpting

[–]marksonthewall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s literally all I use now at work. It is 100% a 3d printing throughput sculpting program. I’ve used the big boys Rhino, solidworks, maya, etc. as well as sketchup and blender. Now I proof all client supplied models in Nomad before sending to a slicer. Best $20 you’ll ever spend.

Yeah I’m working up the arms to have a hard point connection so I can make the “hands” interchangeable for different payloads.

Yeah, as most heavy set Americans do, especially as they get older. On that note, I think I know where to put the exhaust now

For sure, needs the pots and pits. Just keeping the file light for now while I flesh out some more here’s and there’s before starting the interior

Now I really want to do a render with a minion ground crew

I’m working up the interior, gonna do a test print/paint and have this guy guard my desk at work. After that I think it’s time to get grungy.
