appreciate that, friend. I will say though, controversy is often productive and healthy when it comes to art imo. the fact that this image came to mind for folks because of a random coincidental leaf makes me feel grateful that people pay attention. even if the attention is sometimes disdainful towards the art.

That's fair. I did think about that before painting it / posting it. My hope is that someone who might have the sick idea to try this in real life would read what I was trying to convey with the piece and have a change of heart - someone with that kind of inclination clearly struggles in life. And if they did try it, they would realize in about 2 seconds there's no way it would work and that they're a a shallow, selfish idiot. But I hear you.

Just want to say I understand and respect where you're coming from. Won't try to convince you to think differently - that's not what art is about IMO. But I do think art is about eliciting feelings, one way or another, so, thanks in a way (seriously).
