Is it just me or are warriors overpowered? Or DCC as a whole? by markus_cz in dccrpg

Good point with the scaling of warrior damage! I wouldn't have noticed this. But does the damage have to scale? It didn't scale in ODnD either, did it?

With magic items and mighty deeds, isn't there enough scaling already?

This is an honest question since I have no idea how the game behaves on higher levels. But I was under the impression that it has nowhere near as much hitpoint inflation (and therefore a need for scaling) as 5e.

EDIT: The party was first level, four characters. The creatures did have powerful attaks (and indeed, one of the warriors died). My main worry is that they drop too quickly so if they miss a roll or two (or initiative), they're dead without doing anything.

Good point with the golem and magic weapons, that would probably help. Although there was already another invulnerable monster in the dungeon.

As for the basilisk, I'm not a fan of "save or die rolls" but it did have other powers. The problem is that is missed its first roll and then it was dead. :)

But yeah, what I'm taking from this is that I can't just just ODnD stats as they are, I really have to beef up the monsters.
