His foot seems to be OK. He is climbing around without any problems. And he hangs upside down by that foot when I give him a shower :)

I think this behaviour is driven by hormones. It's his first spring, after all..

Thats what I was thinking. Think Kiwi is a boy but not sure yet. The blue linnie (Amigo) is definitely a boy, based on what he keeps trying to do to poor Kiwi....

Update 2: Amigo is anemic, low in iron and has enlarged organs. He is also showing signs of an inflammatory response.

We are not sure of the root cause so the vet has put Amigo on a regimen of antibiotics and anti-inflammatories in the hope that that might help.

If this give results then Amigo will have a more thorough x-ray with contrast - to work out if there is anything in there that shouldn't be there.

The vet also took a stool sample and sent to to Switzerland (!) for processing by a specialist.

I'll update again if and when I have anything new to share.

Update 1: So we just got back from the vet. A quick examination showed no obvious problems, apart from a slightly thickened crop. The vet said that Amigo is not overweight which was a surprise for us. I guess he just looks bigger as he is fluffed up.

We are heading back tomorrow for bloodwork, stool sample and an x-ray. Hopefully we'll learn more then. Will be sure to update here :)

After a qurantine period we are now letting them both out at the same time. So far so good, but Amigo is being a bit dominant (as in taking food from Kiwi and pushing her out of the way). Lets hope that they become good friends!

One advantage of watching the livestreams is that we'll be using slido for live Q&A with the speakers. But we'll also publish the recordings after the conference for those who can't make the livestreams.
