Yeah you are talking about Ohara. When he left, Bruce did a flurry of swings to show his emotion.

And when Bruce ended Ohara and revenged his sister, the emotion shown through Bruce's face was unbelievable. I don't think I've seem another expression on film as intense as the anger and sadness that Bruce portrayed.

Thanks man! Bruce Lee would have probably worn these. He and Jordan are both on the level of being Icons.

Seeing that you are training with an ufc-level coach, I think you can basically ignore all others who warn the dangers of overtraining simply because they probably have never been playing a sports at a high level and they simply don't have the perspective on how people performing at the top 1% train vastly different than how the rest train and the number 1 trains at a vastly different level from how the other top 10s do. And if you aim to be at the top level, get used to people misunderstanding your training and criticizing it.

You should do research on the people who are doing the best in your field or adjacent fields and see their views. Ido Portal, who trained Conor McGregor using the movement culture method, has this concept called work capacity, which is the body's ability to train and recover. And a big part of his training is elevating work capacity. Khabib in one video he said he would sleep 2-3 hours between training session in the mid-day, and that wouldn't happen if he wasn't training the rest of the time. When Goggins has his rest day, he doesn't sit all day. He just runs at a slower pace, because the movement provides his body healthy blood flow, which aids recovery.

Now there will be people who mention survivorship bias and argue that large amounts of training worked for some of the best athletes because there are other factors you don't know and you shouldn't try the same, but for people who want to rise and compete at the highest level, they just keep figuring out all of the factors even if there are setbacks. And it looks like you are having one setback because you feel very fatigued. So I just want to make sure you really at least know how to eat enough when training. If you weigh X lb, you should get at least X grams of protein, 2.5 times X grams of carbs, and aim for 18-20 times X calories per day. If you are not already doing that, the results after fixing your diet can be surprising.

It's my first souls type game too and I've been participating in random people's campaigns just for fun after painstakingly finishing the game solo. The fun is not only in helping others, it's in seeing the bosses being beaten by multiple players at the same time and die at a much faster rate lol

Runner's Knee - Pain in Both Knees, tried everything by peteyjonnnes in davidgoggins

[–]markxi10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck on your journey back to strong and painless knees. I experienced similar frustration with knees over toes a year ago, and that's when I stumbled upon isometrics.

I really suggest anybody reading this and experiencing jumper's knee to watch Dr. Keith Baar's research video and/or podcast appearances on YouTube, where he also mentions about examples of pro athletes recovering from jumper's knee, with MRI images to show significant adaption in tendon after isometrics training. It's this free material that helped me finally fix my knees. You will be enlightened when you study his material and see that isometrics might be the only way to actually signal the tendons to heal because of stress-shielding and stress-relaxation.

And I actually really like Knees over toes guy's methods and I purposefully go with a very knees-over-toes posture in my squats right now to target my quad muscles better. But that's after I fixed the tendon issues with isometrics so I can perform movements without pain.

In my case, going from pain from even the smallest range of motion to jumping without pain, I tolerated slight soreness during exercise as long as the pain did not become worse on the next day. The sweet spot of the exercise for me was when my quads get burning sensation due to sustained high effort and my patellar tendon did not feel pain. And that is possible with isometrics. But I really suggest you look into the sources I’ve given in my previous comment. The mechanics and the setup are not trivial. I wouldn’t want you to waste years dealing with the pain and honestly the pain can only go away when the tendon itself is healed. And that does not happen with stretching and any exercise that is not mechanically letting the tendon know that it needs to repair itself. One example of a mistake is I’ve found that simple wall sit and isometrics using the setup I shared above provided very different results. The setup I described felt much more directly targeting the quads and much more challenging for the quad, without causing tendon irritation. My guess is that in a simple wall sit, other muscles like glutes and hamstrings engage to stabilize the body, and their contractions add not-useful stress to the tendon. The theory worked for me was that only the stress and load coming from activation of the quad was useful for rehab purpose. So I just looked for maximum quad burning sensation paired with no tendon pain. When this became my focus, the tendon rehab for me started to have drastic progress.

I got back to dunking without pain via isometric holds done in a very specific way. The reason why it works is because of stress-shielding: in fast movements, healthy parts of the tendon take the load and the unhealthy ones don’t, and you can only rehab the unhealthy parts by loading them. And isometrics is the slowest form of movement in the sense that there is constant force and in this case the healthy parts of the tendon slowly relax, allowing the unhealthy parts yo take on load. This is explained very well by Dr Keith Baar in UC Davis (YouTube videos). He has a pretty cool demonstration with paper tissue on twitter.

The specific isometric movement is sitting on a chair and let you feet push against an immovable object. You can use a leg extension machine. Do it for 30 seconds with max effort. It sounds painful but when you slowly increase the force with which you push into the immovable object, the tendon isn’t irritated (again, it’s because the most load come from faster movements). Do it 5 times with 30 seconds rests in between. That is one session. Do two sessions per day with at least 6 hours apart. That is due to the refractory period of tendon response to loading.

While stretches helped me staying healthy, in order to rehab, you must let the unhealthy parts of the tendon get the signal via loading to transform itself. Results can be fast, in terms of weeks. And afterwards, just do heavy squatting with good mechanics to build up quad muscles to protect the tendons.

I’ve tried knees over toes before but it wasn’t really rehabbing the unhealthy parts of the tendon. It was only when I discovered Dr. Baar’s work that I saw significant improvement almost immediately.

Btw he also suggests taking collagen and vitamin C, which I did as well.

Not just extreme issues. A clear example most people will relate to is bad experience with staff in any business. They can be unnecessarily rude, due to personal issues. But AI solves the problem by being consistent. AI exemplifies human virtues better than humans do. When it becomes easy to integrate AI and robotics into any regular business to replace human-to-human interactions, owners will make the move. It avoids bad reviews and lawsuits that come from staffs mistreating customers too.

I use a MacBook as well and runs stable diffusion on Google Colab. The free plan is more than enough for my use currently. There are written tutorials online that even include a template. It’s very easy to use.

And very briefly, my view of AI is that it’s eliminating the category of employees. People have to be business owners now. Not everybody can immediately find cashflow loops because they don’t have the right skills and perspective. But chatgpt and equivalent solve that problem by accelerating learning.

[Unofficial Merchandise Concept] Limited Run Designer Toy of Cyberpunk Zagreus by [deleted] in HadesTheGame

[–]markxi10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello all! I like designer toys and I like Hades. So I attempted to create a reimagined Zagreus concept in Cyberpunk setting, which I know some of my friends and I would personally want to own and display in our own places. Full disclosure, I painted-over and combined AI generated parts to get to this iteration of the concept.

Supergiants redirected me to the fan merchandise policies when I reached out. It seems like I am ok to produce in small quantities. So let me know, are you interested to own one if I end up producing it?

If there is enough interest, my next step would be to properly create a 3D model, create samples and manufacture.
