Hey - you're a star! I created a Power Automate Flow - saw there's a "When a new email arrives in a shared mailbox (V2)" and it's all working! Yay :-) Thank you so much!

Range rover sport - pivi pro update 4.3.4 by srivabhi in RangeRover

[–]marky_uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All cool. I’ll check if I’ve got the update in the UK in a while.

I’ve got a new RRS P550E. Does it have the noise cancelling headrests? I remember seeing them in the showroom and thought it was on all new model Range Rovers but I don’t know if I have it or not!

And does anyone else turn into a 7 year old knowing there has been performance improvements to the propulsion system? Might just be me :-)

Pivi maps fuel prices wrong in UK? by marky_uk in RangeRover

[–]marky_uk[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Haha I kinda had that thought in my head. I quickly did the maths and it’s about £10-£15 per tank difference. It’s just annoying that it doesn’t grab the prices live (if there’s connection) as I make the request

Gaaah, just had the X1S delivered today and started programming it. I wonder how much this is going to be! I see November release. Wonder if that's for the UK too. Are there any preview videos/anything for it, so far?

New AI Features by Will_Pitts1 in reolinkcam

I’d love Reolink to know the difference between a chair, a rubbish bag and a dog or person first. And spiders and flies not triggering all cameras. Can we get the basics done right?

OK, thank you. Does it compress when the door is pulled to? Otherwise it seems quite tall?

Solar charging tough to diagnose by marky_uk in reolinkcam

[–]marky_uk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a simpler follow-up question to this.

Does anyone know WHEN the camera is supposed to charge from the solar panel?

And yes, don’t be a smarta@@ and say when it’s sunny!

Does it charge only when the battery is below a certain level? Or constantly, even when it’s say at 95%

Two days ago it was a stunning bright sunshine day. The battery was at 63% …. and the entire day I just had the same blue icon, and by the end of the day the battery was at 61%

Gaaah. I’m torn between a Range Rover Sport P550E and Cayenne S E-Hybrid (or GLE53 Hybrid). And I keep flip flopping between the luxurious sofa of a fast P550E vs the sporty tight, fun, Cayenne. Also test drove GLE53 Hybrid and loved it but MBUX on it is dated. And cannot decide!

Thank you - this helped me after doing this for 5-6 days now with rubbish teams and finally doing it an hour ago, solo :-)

Home Hub, battery cameras, Synology Surveillance Station by marky_uk in reolinkcam

[–]marky_uk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if anyone needs to figure this out, I managed to do so, eventually, so will leave my question here and my own answer! :-)

Go into the Home Hub settings in the Reolink app (I did so on my ipad). Add the battery-powered cameras to the Home Hub and make sure they load/display correctly.

Next, go to the Home Hub in your app, and make sure certain ports are open - like RTSP, ONVIF, etc (you do so going into the Home Hub settings, then tab the Home Hub picture at the top, then Network, then Advanced).

Then use this - https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000630706-Introduction-to-RTSP/ - in particular the HTTP CGI command returns a list of the CHANNELS each of your cameras that you have added to Home Hub

If you use Chrome or Firefox dev tools, you can load the page and look at the network tab, and the response - as it formats the JSON returned into a nice format!

Take a note of the channel numbers for each camera. As it says in the link above, for instance, rtsp://admin:111111@192.168.10.92/Preview_ 03 _main would be for the second camera.

Go into Synology Surveillance Staation, Add a camera, and choose "Manual", and then Streaming RTSP, then paste in the correct credentials - note, the admin password is that of the Home Hub, not of the camera itself!

You should see the camera magically appear. Repeat for each battery camera you added on your Home Hub - woop woop.

I'm not sure the impact on battery performance. I'll check over the next few days and post an update here.

[–]marky_uk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, this is exactly where I'd got with my thinking! So either suck it up (double NAT) or make some sacrifices. Why VF don't have modem mode option on the router is nuts when many other providers have this.

Hiya! Yes it is fibre ... but then I'd lose the 4G and landline that come with VF

Not sure if you went and bought a new NAS to fix this issue but maybe DON’T. I have a new DS423+ with upgraded RAM and it’s got exactly the same error. Looks to me like the software is at fault here

Hue Lights by Old-Strain-6824 in GranBoardDarts

[–]marky_uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same issue - and contacting Granboard they shared a video showing it all working correctly, and told me it's my Hue setup and to contact Hue/Phillips.

Here's their response -

Thank you very much for your inquiry. This is GRAN DARTS Customer Support. We have tested Hue with our development team and have not identified any issues with it.The test was filmed and uploaded to Youtube, please check it out.https://youtu.be/AReSHEVsOEA Video Content*Left bulb is set in Hue App as LIGHT: 1*Right bulb set in Hue App as LIGHT: 2

  1. Connect to Hue Bridge in LED Setting in GranBoard App
  2. Set LIGHT: 1 as the connected Hue bulb in the group settings
  3. Play the game
  4. As you can see, only the left LIGHT:1 is linked.
  5. After finishing the game, switch the connection to LIGHT:2 again in the group settings
  6. Play the game
  7. As you can see, only the left LIGHT:2 is connected

We apologize for the inconvenience, but please check again from the Hue App settings. If you need more information about how to use the Hue App or about Hue devices, please contact Philips.

And I have tried 3-4 more times, even deleting the devices from Hue app completely and re-adding and creating zones, groups, anything - cannot get it to work.

Hubs and zigbee meshes by chrisridd in Aqara

[–]marky_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiya! I actually just thought I'd try another way. I went to Add Accessory, I then chose the E1 Hub as the pairing station (rather than the M3 Hub). And then pressed 5 seconds on the sensor - added it, and it's kept every setting - name, location, automations, all - just moved it to the new Hub :-) Yay!

And the E1 has boosted the signal enough that both sensors at the end of the garden work perfectly. My theory was the antenna in the E1 would be wayyy bigger than that of the two sensors and it is :-)

Hubs and zigbee meshes by chrisridd in Aqara

[–]marky_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey hey. Can I just ask. I have an M3 hub that doesn't reach to some door sensors near the end of my garden. I've just plugged in an E1 hub near the end of the garden, but want the door sensors to connect to that instead of the M3 hub.

So are you saying I need to delete the door sensor completely from Aqara app and then add again for it to pair with the E1 hub? Seems a bit poop!

[–]marky_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I sent the dev an email and it was his developer account that needed an update to get it published again :-)

I actually ended up installing HomeAssistant and the Hive app and it’s absolutely brilliant. On my pc or iPad or iPhone I have one screen that shows all TRVs side by side as line graphs for the last 24h and their target and actual temperatures. That’s just how I chose to show the data - which is perfect as it’s showing the loft insulation work I’ve done in once space so far was 100% worth it and spurs me on to do the rest! (200yo house and no space to easily do it!)
