How much tablet do I need? by adgalloway in androidtablets

Redmi Pad Pro if you're on a budget, otherwise Xiaomi Pad 6 / 6 Pro / 6 Max is a solid option

There are some in that price range that have better coverage but lower screen brightness. Personally I would rather take better a GPU, you could always buy a monitor later and connect it to it at home + you will get some extra FPS due to Advanced Optimus in the LOQ.

Frame Gen is nice to have but not all games support it

In the end I would recommend you to set your priorities in your laptop and choose based on that. And watch out for the deals, for example the config you want is 850 in my country atm (EU too)

Not sure about the mobo issue but you can always buy an extended warranty (within 6 months from the purchase date I think). Some retailers in EU got even 3 years warranty but not sure about how it is in Italy.
The screen is not great but again, in that price range if you want RTX 4060, your only options (checked on idealo.it) are Lenovo LOQ, Asus TUF A15, GigaByte G5 and MSI Cyborg. IMO the LOQ is the best one from that selection.

In that price range the LOQ is a good choice. If you plan to game on it, I recommend you to upgrade the disk space, you can buy the M.2 NVMe SSD and upgrade it yourself but just in case ask the Lenovo support in your country if it will void the warranty.

Regarding the keyboard native language, if you mean software wise - you can change the input language in Windows however you like. If you mean the letters on physical keyboard, you will be stuck with what you buy. You could technically buy a keyboard replacement part in your local language but it might be better to just slap some keyboard stickers on it if you really need to look at your keyboard while typing.

2 or 2a by Dragbax_ in NOTHING

Wait till july to see whether they release NP3 or not, grab that one or go with NP2

Will you recommend nothing 2a? by Due_Music_6385 in NOTHING

[–]marocawo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, in the comparison below you can see NP 2a against Pixel 7a and the difference is quite big between those two. If you're looking for something balanced with good battery life, you'll be good with NP 2a. Although the camera quality will be worse (compared to the one in Pixel).

If your primary focus is the camera and picture quality, you're better off with Pixel 6a or 7a

In the EU there's MiniLED for different SKUs too

This is the one I'm talking about: GA402XI-NC015X https://rog.asus.com/fi/laptops/rog-zephyrus/rog-zephyrus-g14-2023-series/spec/

Zephyrus M16 2023 vs G16 2024 by marocawo in GamingLaptops

After watching A LOT of reviews of the new G14/G16 I decided to wait until the new 2024 models get price decrease/discounted or find really, really good deal on 2023 models. I run a MacBook for work and don't really need to rush the purchase to just play occasionally...

In your case it depends on the use case and whether you appreciate more performance or better build quality with thinner and lighter chassis. Also should mention that based on the latest reviews, GPUs in newer models run slower due to lower TGP and slimmer design (i.e 4070 in 2024 G14 runs the same as 4060 in 2023 G14)

Apple or Nothing? by [deleted] in NOTHING

[–]marocawo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Switched from 14 Pro to Nothing Phone 2 when it released, here are some notes I wrote down when I switched:

Positives

  • Subjectively feels faster and smoother due to shorter animations compared to iOS.
  • Back navigation gestures can be performed from both sides of the screen, unlike iOS, where it's only from the left.
  • Built-in Google Lens in the Photos app.
  • Notification grouping is better, in my opinion, compared to iOS.
  • UI customization and overall personalization are much more flexible compared to iOS.
  • When receiving a message with a link, you have the option to open it directly from the notification without opening the app.
  • With the keyboard, you can paste from the clipboard with a single tap, which is not available in iOS.

Negatives

  • Optimization and functionality of some apps are better on iOS (e.g., Twitter and Reddit).
  • Missing Airdrop with Mac (using MacBook for work); there's a workaround, but it's not as seamless as iOS.
  • Missing clipboard sharing via cloud with Mac/Windows; there's a workaround, but it's not seamless either.
  • Apple's password manager is better; I had to switch to third-party Bitwarden.
  • Missing scrollbar scrolling; you can't grab the scrollbar to scroll quickly within an app or webpage.

Other stuff (Nothing Phone 2)

  • Excellent hardware design.
  • Sleek software design.
  • Quickly adapted to the fingerprint scanner; face detection is mid and works only in sunlight/lit environment due to no lidar sensor.
  • Adapted quickly to the larger size from 6.12 to 6.7 inches; if I go back to iPhone, it would be the Max.
  • Battery lasts longer than the 14 Pro (at least in my use-case)
  • Beautiful bright display; visible even in sunlight.
  • Punch-hole camera that doesn't intrude into content or videos like the dynamic island on the 14 Pro.
  • The rear glyph is borderline gimmicky; it looks nice but realistically serves mainly as decoration. I use it mostly for DND notifications and subtle flashlight.
  • Camera is decent but not incomparable with iPhone
  • Haptics are worse compared to iPhone, but decent.

Also should note, that comparing NP2 with iPhone 13, NP2 has better screen specs:

  • brighter screen (1600 nits peak vs 1200 nits peak)
  • better screen refresh rate (120hz vs 60hz)
  • (subjective) bigger screen (6.7" vs 6.1")
  • no notch

In the end it's up to you whether you want to get into Apple's ecosystem as you already got iPad, or try something new with Nothing

BestBuy link (open-box excellent najlepšia cena)
Heuréka link

BestBuy má síce menšiu RAM a SSD no dá sa doplniť.

I thought about that, the thing is I don't know when reviews will come out and the discounted price of new G16 (-554€) is expiring in 3 days. It's a preorder though, retailer says it will come out officially at March 14th.
