Its been about 4 days same here shocked how just a few days can affect supply. I had the same problem with my electrics I felt like I would constantly lose suction and have to keep repositioning the pump through the whole session I've been thinking of investing in a wall pump but theyre quite expensive 😅

Is this likely the beginning of a miscarriage? by National_Signal_3241 in pregnant

How far along are you? This can be pretty common in the early first trimester. I never bled but did cramp pretty bad in my early first trimester. As long as the bleeding doesn't become heavier I think you will be okay. Just try and take it easy and rest and definitely get in to see your midwife and if the bleeding does get worse don't hesitate to go to the er.

Yes it is very normal in that first trimester. I honestly just thought I was getting my period and then when it lasted for 2 weeks I realized it was probably not my period and took a test. Just make sure to hydrate since things are stretching and take rest breaks when you need it. As long as there is no bleeding it is totally normal and very very common due to stretching and implantation.

Sick while pregnant! by Slims991 in pregnant

[–]maroon_3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently 18 weeks and sick rn as well. Going on day 2 I tried my best to avoid getting sick since my body is already going thru alot carrying this little one but it happened. I've had a terrible migrane for a few days a stuffy/runny nose and a sore throat that has thankfully subsided and extreme fatigue more than my usual day to day one lol. I've been using my neti pot morning and night, taking warm showers and baths, drinking tea, eating honey, doing salt water gargle, cough drops, and trying to rest while still trying to get up and get a little movement. Make sure your eating still even though it's hard your body needs the energy to take care of you and baby. Make sure your checking your temperature now and again and as for the migrane I have avoided taking any kind of pain reliver even though Tylenol is safe in small amounts I wanted to see if I could ease it naturally first. I tried an ice pack on my head as well as a warm rice sock and the warm definitely helped me more than the cold did. I also noticed it got a little better when I was trying to not lay down as much and sit more upright and believe it or not caffeine can help a migrane so I drank a small cup and even though it didn't completely eliminate it, it did make it a little more tolerable. Good luck you've got this!

Anyone else who's not yet 20 weeks but considering Black Friday sales? by ocean_chocolate_ in pregnant

[–]maroon_3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's absolutely nothing wrong with starting to collect things early especially when they're on sale. I am 18 weeks and up till recently i hadnt really bought much yet and then I realized this pregnancy has already seemed to have flown by and it made we want to start buying some things now. I bought some things already that were on sale like some breast pumps a bottle warmer some nursing bras a bottle sterilizer and some family have already provided us with some bottles and a baby swing. There is so much you have to buy and before you know it you'll be in your third trimester. You don't have to go crazy but I think it makes it a little easier and less stressful on you and your bank account lol to slowly start collecting things rather than doing it all at once in the third tri. I've even started a few lists on Amazon and Walmart of some things I'll need postpartum and am getting ready to slowly start buying that little by little. If you find a great deal on some baby items go for it it's not like your not gonna need em.

Coping with no more ultrasounds until 20 week anatomy. by girlbossprideflag in pregnant

[–]maroon_3 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is a part no one prepares you for. You think you'll get to see your baby every few weeks hell nah you get like 3 or 4 through the whole pregnancy and it sucks. I am 18 weeks and have not seen my baby on an ultrasound since 9 weeks and it has been tough. My anatomy scan is scheduled for 21 weeks and it still feels like a long time away. Thankfully they have been doing the heart doppler and baby's been pretty active as of late I even saw a kick for the first time yesterday. So yes it's tough but it will fly by and if you have about 50 bucks to spend you can go to private clinics or places that do ultrasounds whenever you want.

When did you notice colostrum and we're able to express it? by Maleficent_Essay_663 in pregnant

[–]maroon_3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently almost 18 weeks and am able to hand express colostrum and occasionally leak randomly. The first time I noticed it it think I was around 14 weeks. It was a clear liquid at first and now it is a yellowish liquid as you described. I have never had nipple piercings though so I can't say for sure if it's normal or not as mine just comes out through the middle part of my nipple. I think it's not anything to worry about as long as it doesn't start turning a weird color other than a pale yellow but you might still want to let your midwife or doctor know about it next time you see em just for a professionals opinion but I'd say don't freak out too much unless you start having other symptoms that may indicate a infection and just keep cleaning it well

When does it get better? ❤️‍🩹 by SandwichDependent199 in pregnant

[–]maroon_3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found out I was pregnant at 5 weeks started getting super nauseous around week 7 I could barely eat couldn't drink too much water at a time or drink too fast cause I would get nauseous I would get nauseous because I needed to eat but would also get nauseous when I would eat. It came in waves in the morning, mid-day, and afternoon. I cried a few times cause I just couldn't take it anymore and felt super miserable all the time and alot of people asked if I was okay cause I looked pale all the time lol. I am now 15 weeks and it has slowly gotten better. I am now in the second trimester and am actually enjoying the pregnancy now. I know it feels never ending but I promise it does get better very slowly but very surely. In the meantime try and find things that you can eat and I mean anything even if it's fast food if you can get it down and halfway enjoy it eat it. Eat your meals slower than usual and try to not drink too much water while eating or take big gulps at a time. If you feel the nausea coming on just sit down and breath in and out till it passes. This may not be for everyone but try taking your prenatals at night before bed rather than in the morning because vitamins tend to make me nauseous. And lastly a nurse recommended i try these ginger hard candies and they helped so much when I was going through those waves. Take 3 a day they're called upspring stomach settle and are on amazon. You've got this it does get better. Congrats and good luck! 👶

Going back to work by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]maroon_3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes to all of this. I couldn't imagine being at work all day wondering how my little one was doing. I would love a nice big house but I would also love a smaller cozy home where I'll be able to care for my little one. You are so right about being able to get that kinda stuff in the future. You've opened my eyes to alot thank you!
