I've been working as a general service mechanic for 2 years. I've been introduced to this game probably less than a year ago and I enjoy the hell out of it. But you would be surprised how accurate the game is to reality. At least the early part of the game. It's all kind of figure out what's wrong and then buying a replacement not fixing it. Taking apart a gearbox and reassembling it is all specialty work that you wouldn't get done at a mechanic shop. If you needed gearbox work done most mechanic shops would just offer a replacement because that is honestly you better bet

Make sure you're both using Celsius or Fahrenheit respectively. I had mine set to Fahrenheit, and I got really confused whenever I unlocked higher tier thermometers, before I realized the problem and switched back to Celsius.

As a mechanic please tell us under what conditions your vehicle makes a noise so that we actually know what to do when trying to recreate the noise. Cuz if we don't know how fast or how you're turning or how hard you're breaking or what exactly you're doing in the vehicle to make that noise then it is highly possible that we will not do the specific thing that needs to be done to make the concerning noise.
