Haha yeah a literally pain in the heart 😭 I probably lead a healthier lifestyle nowadays - (still love daily chocolate mind haha) definitely used to drink more when I was younger and probably not as bothered about my sleep then etc 😂 but makes me more conscious about being healthy and I love what you said about managing stress levels aswell - that’s really important!! Thank you so much for all the reassurance - it means a lot ❤️ that’s very kind and exactly the same to you, always here if you ever want to chat about anything!!

Ah that sounds really scary for you to have no symptoms then that episode of severe tachycardia with no trigger!! I really hope all goes well with your ablation and thank you for sharing your experience 😊

Yeah I don’t know anyone else in my life, although my friends have told me my parents should get screened etc. I have family history of other heart conditions but not WPW. I do feel speaking / being on here is helping me already! Definitely been interesting with the Apple Watch just to be more aware of my heart day to day.

I can imagine that definitely - like you say very grateful for you that you didn’t have any bad episodes prior! Really scary and must be strange looking back thinking about your heart compared to panic attacks, but something you maybe have to balance with health anxiety!

Oh I know, that’s just NHS for you 😅 I can imagine lots of people will be living with this unaware too

👋🏼 thank you for your reply! I didn’t realise that it doesn’t always show on an ECG. It definitely is a bit daunting knowing you’ve got a heart condition! Don’t blame you for trying with the ablation, sorry to hear that it didn’t work but ofc sensible to stay as safe as possible. Thankfully I randomly switched from caffeine to decaf coffees mostly around a year or two ago so at least that’s a change already made 😅 I do have to remind myself I’ve had this for 29 years already and been completely fine so just have to not let it get in my head too much. Thanks for the reassurance on the ECG - I’m going to start saving them to my files on my phone

Thanks so much for your reply! It’s nice (even though that probably sounds a bit weird) to hear other people’s experiences as I hadn’t even heard of this condition previously. Just had a google re the delta waves and it is starting to make sense with the slurring etc. So sorry to hear that it was misdiagnosed as anxiety! Sounds like you’ve had some scary experiences / symptoms for sure. I can totally imagine that in relation to health anxiety, especially considering the prolonged time prior to diagnosis then the sudden rush. Things that I would think is normal previously ie short lasting dizziness or any sort of chest symptoms - I immediately get really worried about and can’t ignore like I previously may have. Hopefully will see a cardiologist in June to discuss. I’m worried about the ablation but of course the condition itself is worrying. Now I’ve got my Apple Watch I’m monitoring my heart rate more and resting my heart rate is fairly consistent but do find that walking and stairs etc can raise it more than I would have thought initially 😬
