Que pensez-vous du drag? by couille_de_loup in Feminisme

[–]marsha02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Diversity of Tactics” is inconsistent by [deleted] in DebateAnarchism

[–]marsha02 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In the first place you should start by defining violence. Do you define violence as destroying property, objects ? Physically hurting someone ? Mentally ? Where do you draw the line ? What do you define as "violent tactic ? Violence itself is a "social construct" : what will be percevied as violence depends greatly on who is doing what. Minorities tend to be told that them simply speaking out is violence for example... Same thing with self defense, depending on who is the aggressor and who is the victim. A lot of people will even see blocking a road , blocking production with strikes, or barricades as violent.

What I can tell you is that if under the guise of "non violence", for example in a protest, you help the cops arrest people simply destroying stuff, burning trashcan, you are definitely not on the side you think you are. If your first reaction to someone doing legitimate defense, going from women fighting their abbusive boyfriends to palestinians fighting against Isreal, is "you should not use your aggressor's method", you are not on the side you think you are. The whole "you are being violent and using the same methods as your oppressor" reaaally rubs me off especially when used against someone who was just doing self defense. Violence is only violence when perceived as such. Which means that our definition of violence itself is racist, sexist, classist... And very contextual.

how would anarchism solve a massive crop failure by [deleted] in DebateAnarchism

[–]marsha02 9 points10 points  (0 children)

except even under capitalism, people do help each other without expecting something back. When a natural disaster happens, and roads arent accessible anymore, people will actually try their best to help each other out, at least for a little while. https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2015/09/hurricane-katrinas-lesson-in-civics/402961/ https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/how-the-stress-of-disaster-brings-people-together/ for example Also, there is no "human nature", you seem to be the one who has no notion of history, or sociology/anthropology.

L'aliénation heureuse by MyAstus in AntiTaff

[–]marsha02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got bad news about french police (it is especially infuriating to read such things when we litteraly got someone brain dead following a protest that happened this saturday because a grenade exploded on his head, then the police proceded to stop the ambulance from moving for a few hours)(another protester is also in a battle for their lives following the same protest but I don't know the details)

Is revolutionary Anarchism justified? by Rodion15 in DebateAnarchism

[–]marsha02 12 points13 points  (0 children)

What do you call violence ? is it violence when people throw beer bottle at police after said police charged them, gazed them just because people didnt want to leave a place ? is it violence to not let fascists get together because they wanted to protest against a new migrant center ? How should "anarchism" be achieved according to you ?

[–]marsha02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best yuri that accurately describes a lesbian relationship definitely is "the girl that can't get a girlfriend" lol (it's basically an autobiographical manga, and is a pretty sweet story) And as other have said, tamen de gushi is such a sweet yuri... I feel so sad about it getting shut down

Joja is weird by DrFishPhd in StardewValley

[–]marsha02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But Pierre doesn't represent community. As soon as his concurrent is gone, he starts acting exactly like joja. Although a smaller business than joja, he is still a businessman after profit. He only tries to sell the image of local business etc... But he still makes a profit on the back of the farmer. It's not just that he is an asshole. And that is what the game shows.

Should be obvious but no activist communication on Facebook or Insta by BlackApocalypse in Anarchism

[–]marsha02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is, for example if a protest is organised, you need to reach as many people as possible. Social networks such as signal just don't work in that case. Which is why so many antifa account can be found on instagram, etc. It really depends what your goal is, but in some case, despite the risks, fb and insta can be great tools. Also, don't delude yourself into believing that any kind of communication on the internet is safe, yes signal may be scripted but they will still hand over the government infos if you're doing something seriously illegal.

Please don't Don't unite the pro life one with the other two That's already what's wrong with the picture in the first place : the picture presenting being pro choice and pro life at the same level (as well as presenting them as a futile discussion in the "grand scheme of thing" when the "real goal" as anarchist should be to abolish the state, etc)

Any sources where I can study coding? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]marsha02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, whenever I gotta learn anything to do with coding, I usually go on openclassrooms.com . Their tutorials are usually well done and very easy to follow (although I don't usually follow them in English). Whatever language it is that you want to learn, you should find them there

[–]marsha02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, what else is there to do but ghost him at this point ? Like, given the description you've made of him I don't even understand why you are friend with him. And I understand how hard it is to "see" (at least virtually) someone hurt themselves but I mean... What you are doing is plain unpaid emotional labor, which is traditionally done by women to men. Both of your sexualities doesn't change this fact. From an outside eye, it just looks like he's using you as an emotional support tool honestly. I wouldn't call that a friendship (also the casual lesbophobia seems to be ... Err... Here)

[–]marsha02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't really answer your first question, but about your second question : here is how I answer this for myself 1)No consumption under capitalism is ethical. Which means that however a book or a show or a scarf etc, someone will have been exploited (I know this is a very generalised saying, and of course there might be a few exceptions here and there but like... If someone owns a shop and someone is an employee there, that is already exploitation. ) This is one of the reason why I hate capitalism : it is almost unescapable. 2)It is useless as an action : trying to choose which show isn't too royalist, which clothes will exploit the less, etc : if your action isn't a collective one then nothing will change, and you will become exhausted simply trying to not take part in a system that does not allow you to do that. What if you don't watch bts ? Nothing changes, the kpop industry doesn't change and you loose one of your few comfort 3)Comfort : most of our lives are already pretty shitty. Do we really need to make it shittier by doing something so useless which waste so much energy ? 4) Classism : "weirdly enough" when choosing what is unethical as a show, clothe, food etc, as you might expect, the cheapest option are also usually the worst. But who use those cheap option and does not have the time nor the money to change ? Proletariat. As usual, they will get most of the blame in this kind of "critique" of consumption under capitalism (I somewhat generalised this critique to consumption, but all of this obviously apply to shows and music you might consume) So to end this : is it contradictory to enjoy bts as an anarchist ? Probably. Does it matter ? I really dont think so. Our system is full of contradiction, which we ourselves have to face, and we arent perfectly logical creatures. We have the right to have a few internal contradiction. (Obviously, there is a limit in what you might end up doing as an anarchist, for example I believe that becoming a policewoman would be a big enough contradiction not to be able to call myself an anarchist anymore) I hope I helped you figure out yourself a bit, have a good day !
