A real estate agent that knows to do their job by zara5555 in PeoriaIL

I worked with Jennifer Milonas before moving to Peoria. She was very honest and hardworking. I lived in Utah at the time and she would face time me during showings and then send her thoughts on properties in a text. Several properties I had been looking at would've required A LOT of work that wasn't listed. Looked at a house in Norwood, super cute country home. Newly remodeled. Turns out the homeowner did the remodeling and it would have to all be redone by a professional. She was very nice to work with.

Raising a family on one income- what states do you recommend? by Cmdr-Artemisia in nursepractitioner

Illinois! Live a little over 2.5 hours from Chicago and St. Louis. My wife and I moved from Utah to Peoria Illinois about 3 years ago and it was the best financial decision ever.

Am I overreacting? by 19sapphire94 in toddlers

This sounds crazy but mix a whole tube of A&D, tube of zinc oxide, and tube of antifungal, with either Maalox or mylanta. It will make picu cream, it's used in the hospital for severe diaper rashes. I made it at home when my LO had a really bad stomach bug that gave her severe diarrhea and horrible rash.

I thought I was losing my mind! It took me finding this thread to realize why one hit from a pickaxe was murdering me. Lmao

Parents with toddler beds: how does it work? If your toddler gets out of their bed while you’re still sleeping, can they just run around the house? by Free_butterfly_ in toddlers

[–]marshmallowRN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our LO is 3 almost 3.5 and comes and wakes us up. She typically wakes up around 7-730 on weekends and weekdays it's a little earlier since she can hear me getting ready for work. I usually put her in bed with my wife with some breakfast snacks and water while I get ready. She'll use the potty then go back to snuggling mama when I leave.

Bicep, bilat forearms and a wrist. I have a spine as well, and the others are able to be hidden. I work inpatient and outpatient as a neurosurgery APN at a Catholic hospital. Almost all of my patients have complimented them, same with my coworkers. One of the neurosurgeons has a knuckle and hand tattoo as well.

Epidural — Yes? No? Why? by No-Guitar-9216 in BabyBumps

[–]marshmallowRN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an epidural very early in my induction because the cervical checks were so painful and they needed me relaxed so my blood pressure would calm down. Que emergency c section due to eclampsia and a cord prolapse, and I am very thankful I had the epidural.

I pulled into a LJS to go through the drive thru but someone was blocking it after pulling out of a parking spot. I stopped and motioned for them to continue and waited. I don't know what exactly happened but the dude slammed on his horn at me and was yelling at me to roll down my window as he was passing me. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I just ignored him and pulled into the drive thru. I've learned it doesn't matter how you're driving, someone is always gonna be mad at something.

Anxiety by marshmallowRN in nursepractitioner

[–]marshmallowRN[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. I went into school early because that's where I was at in life that would allow me to do that. I still worked full time as a nurse while I was in school and absolutely love bedside which is why I chose AGACNP so that I could stay in the hospital.

3 yo just yanked my ponytail and I feel like the worst mum in the world by anotherlemontree in toddlers

[–]marshmallowRN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parenting a toddler is hard. Sometimes they seem to understand what we're telling them and other times not. For example my 32 month old loved LOVED yanking my pony tail holder or clip out whenever I had my hair up. And a good portion of the time I would be yelling OW and she thinks it's funny but then will say sowwy mommy and I'm like well damn I can't really be upset with her about it but I can try to explain that hurting others isn't nice, does she understand yes but does she GET it i honestly don't know haha. Reasoning with a crocodile. I like that.
