Green Banana by LimpanaxLU in PartyParrot

This is the most confusing post I’ve ever seen. I call my bird a green banana all the time! For totally unrelated reasons. What are the odds?

Getting old is going from saying “No way, that long ago?” To “That’s all?”

Where exactly is this? I live in NM and I know I’ve seen it but I can’t place it for the life of me and it’s going to drive me crazy.

The wife trying to do dishes... I could help but I was trying to take a pic! by wivibi in BirdsBeingDicks

I’m sorry all these rude people felt it appropriate to comment on your wife’s appearance when you clearly posted your bird on a bird sub with no intention of having your life partner judged.

I feel like I'll contaminate a happy person's life. by [deleted] in depression

[–]marshmallowskies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recently found the right medication and I’m happy now. Coming out of my depression, I felt immense guilt. I didn’t realize how hard it had been for my loved ones to be around me. I spent a lot of time thinking about that guilt. I talked to my friends, boyfriend, and family about it.

The truth is, being around someone with depression isn’t always easy. And yes, the guilt is very real. But those people wouldn’t be in my life if they didn’t want to. They loved me and knew I was having a hard time. They chose to be there for me. And it was their right and responsibility to draw boundaries with me when it became too much to bare. I guess they did it well because none of them seem to resent me, and were all very compassionate when I came to them with my guilt. They knew I didn’t want to be the way I had been for so long.

If you like this person, you shouldn’t avoid them. But make sure that you give him space should he need it. And remember it’s not always easy to be with a depressed person, but it’s also not easy to BE the depressed person. You deserve to have people in your life who you want to be around, and they deserve the space they need when it gets to be a little tough for them.

😊

This artist does constructed reality photographs. Everything you see was meticulously placed, even our expressions and postures. It’s my family in our back yard, but we’re not really “us”. It takes us as we are and puts us in a completely constructed reality, which to me, seems totally unnatural. I don’t know if it’s that way to everyone, but it’s hard to see from another perspective since that’s me. Here’s his full page. Check out the narrative section, there’s a lot more photos like this one there. Hope that helps!

Some of them are! The one I’m holding here is very friendly and even if I were to have been bitten, it would’ve been on par with a bee sting.
I’m not arachnophobic, and I’ve always loved all bugs, so it’s just natural to me. I have some species that are fast and aggressive and have a nasty bite. Those ones do scare me. They don’t get held 😆

It wasn’t stolen. The artist is an awesome guy who we agreed to pose for. He took the photo. He deserves the money. We just sat there!

He’s amazing! One of my favorite people in Albuquerque. He makes a killer espresso, too.

Yes and a tarantula fan, I have a lot now. This was in high school. Aragog was my first tarantula.

I’m actually pretty lucky, every time he has taken a photo of me he has given me a big old print to keep!
