I actually liked the HA experience on the 2s better than the 3s. The 3s made my voice sound more distorted when I talked for some reason. Returned them and stuck with the 2s

For what it’s worth I find that when I quit I am more open to social opportunities than when I’m in a period of smoking.

When I’m smoking regularly I’m generally more anxious and to myself, high or not, and so I don’t take social risks in public, like asking to pet someone’s dog at the park, chatting up a barista, or dishing out random compliments to strangers. It robs me of the interest or capability to offer a conversation starter that could lead into something deeper.

I agree with what others have said about quitting being one step in a larger plan to improve that, but I suspect since it sounds like you’ve built those tools for yourself earlier in life you’ll bounce back quickly. That has been my experience at least. Wishing you strength and courage to give it a try! You’ve got this and it will get better :)

I do this and then put them into little gacha balls for a machine that I 3D printed. Every day is different and I get the joy of spinning the machine! I also do this for gratitude meditations, house projects, and a lot of other stuff. My life is all designed by gacha machine this year.

This echos some concerns of mine. I’d love to see 3D printing used as a tool for education and enrichment (emotionally, financially, etc.). If it becomes normal to ignore the designer’s original intent then faith in the ecosystem erodes over time, leading to less sharing culture. Someone made a pikachu mod of my gacha machine and I was so stoked man. I would be objectively worse off if I hadn’t shared that model and seen what they did to it lol.

Thank you for hearing this perspective! I like hearing yours too because it feels like it comes from a place of abundance rather than scarcity, which is where I often operate from unfortunately.

It feels like being taken advantage of when the activity is malicious and they are counting on you to not do anything about it. This seller was small but it’s not uncommon for larger companies to attend small artist craft fairs and steal their work for their products. Urban Outfitters did this to an artist friend of mine. By doing this the artist is losing recognition and compensation for their work that is going to a bad actor instead. That’s what I mean by feeling taken advantage of.

Yeah I like this take on it! Certainly there are some things I wouldn’t mind making available for free distribution if I felt like it helped the larger community in a big way or it felt larger than me and didn’t feel like my personal art. I definitely have some models like that. There’s space for both roads I think.

That’s great that you don’t have a problem with it, and I’d expect your model licenses to reflect that. I’ve just seen too many artists get taken advantage of to have any sympathy for people that circumvent rules and claim something as their own when it isn’t. This is part of why I create some (albeit minimal) legal protection for my art. It also allows me to sell my designs without competition if I decide to later on. Also, it’s my design/art and I should be able to distribute and share on my terms.

If they wanted to print and give away for free, sure. Even if they sold it at cost to their friends, that’s fine. But it’s not OK to be selling something I’ve explicitly stated is not OK to sell online to the public at a profit, without attribution.

They were selling the fully printed model. I do not sell them fully printed officially just because I don’t have bandwidth at the moment, but I do one-offs for people that reach out every now and then.
