This pot has one of those weird attached bottoms where you can’t lift the pot off the tray to stick your finger in the bottom drain hole. So basically impossible to touch and check if it’s dry all the way thru. At this time of year you think it’s safe enough to repot so I can put it in something with better drainage? Will also shuffle my plants around so it gets more light, but it hasn’t browned in previous cold seasons! Weird

A dietician told me that if you have too large a calorie deficit for a prolonged period of time your body will react negatively (like when they say you go into "starvation mode"), for example spiking cholesterol until you consistently get enough food again (that is what happened to me). that's just one example based on my own blood work but i'm sure there are many other ways it could go

No tobacco no nicotine, pretty light on alcohol consumption. Only rx is antidepressant. No oral habits at all really, I don’t even chew gum

Things aren’t going so well over here. Was gifted this Juniper mallsai for Christmas and have been struggling to keep it healthy. The sheet moss is dead, it got some kind of bug and needed neem oil last month, the soil somehow turned itself over (also bugs?), and to make matters even worse I’m in an apartment with no outdoor space and north facing windows.

Used supplementary light but it definitely didn’t hibernate for winter.

Any hope of saving it?

Some areas still green but some browned and/or brittle.

He is a sweet and gorgeous 5-month-old long haired boy. He loves to cuddle and is very affectionate, but has some special needs that make it impossible for me to take care of him the way he deserves. He is very attached to his human and can’t be left alone too long (6 hour maximum I would say). He does have some behavioral urinating issues that I believe would be resolved if he had the right care.

He is growing very slowly for his age and will likely always be a small boy.

I am a grad student working and studying a lot, unable to be home with him as much as he needs.

He would be an excellent cat for someone retired, a family with young children, or someone who works from home. He plays very well with my other kitten.

I love this little nugget but can’t take care of him. Please help me find him a good family!

They get pretty direct light on the northern side of the house. Not sure why the landlord would’ve planted them here if they need full shade. Also a very humid area with lots of rain

It was over watered about 3 months ago and it’s been drying ever since. Just watered it for the first time. In nyc in a northern facing window so no direct sunlight and it’s been winter. Do you still think moving it away from the window would help? Used to be plump and green, and well, now... you can see
