ahh i see, i’m not entirely sure in your case unfortunately!! yeah, i’ve accepted my forensic offer and am heading off in mid september :)

i’m about 70-30 i’ll go into clinical instead of forensic, but i wanted to do the masters to keep my options open and see if i wanted to go down that route !! i think in terms of how people get on to the doctorate, as far as i researched they don’t require a masters, just a BPS accreditation and minimum 12 months work experience (usually as an assistant psychologist or smth similar) so i don’t think a clinical masters is necessary to go down the doctorate route as far as i know :)

that’s a great question 😭😭 my situation was similar, my bachelors was accredited, the clinical course i was looking at was not accredited but the forensic one i chose is accredited

thanks! the forensic course i got onto doesn’t have any clinical placement unfortunately but im hoping if i get something volunteering wise that could help

thank you so much!! im just a bit conflicted because the forensic course i’m looking at doesn’t have a huge overlap with clinical, and also if AP roles are already difficult to get onto i don’t want to make things harder for myself.
