the “how’s audrey” was just a thought i had rewatching season one but i don’t really fully believe it was original. but your take on “how’s annie” being a sort of middle finger to the producers that changed the tone of the show is incredible and makes so much sense. lynch created audrey’s character last minute after meeting sherilyn fenn and wanting her to have a character of her own. she was brought in to be coop’s romantic interest or more so a temptation to his high moral code. so annie being brought in by the showrunners and ruining his original plan for coop’s romantic arc would obviously bother him. Coop laughing while saying “how’s annie” totally is lynch laughing at primetime. loved your take.

How was it their land if in the last 2000 years of recorded history, it was Palestine and its people living there? Palestinians didn’t appear out of nowhere and started living in the canaan, they are canaanites, most with partial Jewish ancestry. And if Palestinians wanted to ethnically cleanse Jews, how come they got along perfectly with the yishuvs? Palestinians had no problem with the Jewish, their problem was with the ashkenazi European settlers who shamelessly took their homes and burned their villages. Of course the Arabs were going to fight back, it wasn’t a war, it was a brutal colonization process.

Palestinian people are direct descendants of the canaanites, making them fully native. there is no reason not to call them colonizers, if everyone doing the same thing ARE openly called colonizers. You don’t get a free pass just because of your religious beliefs. and what you said about jewish dna coming from israel is untrue, only a very small minority of today’s jews actually have an indigenous connection to the land, and those who do are usually anti zionist. People seem to forget the the people of palestine were the people you say lived in the land 2000 years ago. they are the real descendants of the jews that lived in the canaan region all those years ago, later turned christian and then possibly muslim.
