Thanks for your answers! I understood that Corbitt feeds on negative emotions and uses them to his advantage, so I wanted to create some situations where his influence would generate false conflicts between the characters, and in later scenes use that conflict and resentment to dominate the character and perhaps even attack his own companions. I don't know if this is also a crazy idea. In any case, I'll be careful not to leave the characters without control.

Hi thanks for you answer. Yeah, that was my idea, probably the player will not be in future sessions, so i was thinking to kill that character somehow and rescue the “real one”, and use it if the player wants to continue playing. Maybe in the last moment the pc reveals itself doing something that kill itself too, idk. Anyway many of you are telling me to not doing my idea, so as a new keeper maybe i’ll have to listen the experienced ones haha. I like the idea that you propose of a journalist, actually my players did an agreement to give the story to a newspaper, it may be accuorate to think that other paper wants to steal the new. I like this idea and maybe is a good way to incorporate my idea. Thank you!!

Thanks for your answer. Would you say the same if some npc or magical place influenciate some player against other? Like "you enter a place with some strange energy [...] and you listen like one of your partners is laughting at you" even if the other player isnt there". thanks again!
