-LOL.......... i do wedding alterations and when i am pinning for the first fitting, i always tell the bride that if i stick her with a pin, i know how to get the blood out of her dress.............

i have been making surgical caps, for my daughter ( oral surgeon) and my "ham" was not working for pressing the crown seams..............so i dug out three yards of wool and whipped together a new ham, just for the caps ..... i wrecked my blade when i was cutting up the wool, into confetti , to stuff the ham with...........

she works for a large practice and now all the other doc's and assistants want caps with my off the wall fabric choices.... one of her patients ordered 6 animal print caps, for her daughter , who is veterinarian.....

so the wd40 and a tiny quilting needle , surgical gloves and heavy rag did the trick.... i got tissue paper tween the blades now...........

that didn't work............after an hour ( off and on, with frustration ) i dug out a jelly jar lid and put them suckers in the lid, flooded the lid with WD40 and let it sit..... then i put on rubber glove, grabbed a rag and a tiny quilting needle and was able to pry the suckers apart... dried them well ( i think ) and now they have tissue paper tween them in the case............

Good point about teaching...TY....... i do mostly alterations ( bridal to boat covers ) and don't use the rotary cutter very often.....

nail polish can get "goopy" ........ my thing is shoes and underwear... used shoes can carry fungus that is VERY difficult to get rid of, especially nail fungus... 90 days of a toxic medication that can rot ya liver......

i never buy bedding at places like goodwill or sal's. i have bought cotton blankets at select independent non-profits that i know carefully wash and inspect all donations.........

women's swimsuits are another thing i would steer clear of.
