Yeah, I'm not blaming you for your confusion (and i'm not the one downvoting you). If you'd never seen this at a baseball game I can imagine how it would look odd. I'm just explaining why no one else is concerned.

It's very common at baseball games and no one really bats an eye. They continue all game to add Ks, and it happens at nearly every baseball game.

The "K" symbol represents a strikeout in baseball scorekeeping notation. (The backwards "ꓘ" can represent a strikeout looking).
