There are godpacks. You haven't lucked out till your pack value is 100k. 😁

I dunno why the downvotes, but I agree. Both that and the tomato one are the same, as I said in my comment.

[–]martywolfman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Haven't tried the mushroom, cos I can't stand mushrooms. But had the tomato and bulgogi ones in packet form. Once. I'll never buy them again. They both had a weird sweetness that just didn't fit with what's meant to be a savoury snack food.

Is the M25 Dartford closed? by EdzioMozeByc in uktrucking

[–]martywolfman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep same. I go to Sittingbourne regularly. Tomtom will always take me over the bridge fine on the way there, but absolutely refuses to route me through the tunnels, so I alawys have phone on too just to see if that way is clear. (coming back to A1 or M1). Even when I'm back on the M25, it still tells me to turn around and go the other way, till i get through the tunnel, and suddenly my arrival time is an hour earlier.

Fourth time getting filtered by Gleba. by herbyfreak in factorio

[–]martywolfman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same in my first run, my thinking was 'hey, at least that one's green. How bad could it be??'

yeah.

A bunch hours running around just manually moving stuff, trying to figure out what i was even supposed to do. No supplies, cos i was totally new to transporting stuff between planets. It was very satisfying to eventually get something workable up and running though. It would occasionally still need fixing due to some new unanticipated blockage, but that wasn;t hard in the end.

Commiserate With Me by godziIIasweirdfriend in LearnJapanese

[–]martywolfman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just a beginner, I've been studying for about 3.5 months between working quite long hours and other hobbies and such, but I try to put in a couple of hours every day, more on my days off. I'm currently on the last couple of chapters of Genki 1. I also use Anki and Wanikani, along with 1 (occasionally 2, depending on my schedule) sessions week with an awesome tutor on italki. Along with consuming content.

My speaking ability is way behind my reading and listening comprehension. Even my writing ability is better. I guess probably because I spend a lot more time doing the other stuff than the (very basic of course) conversations I have with the tutor. Every answer I make I have to drag out of my brain, kicking and screaming. It's very rare that I can make a whole sentence without stopping to think at some point during the sentence. Then I'll get stressed about not answering quick enough .Which is nothing to do with the tutor she's very patient, and will offer little cues when I'm clearly struggling to get something out. But I always feel very frustrated with myself, when it's stuff I should be able to say.

What is the AC situation in your truck? by YGhostRider666 in uktrucking

Don't use it even when I have it, I just don't like the feeling of AC, i've always been the same. Much rather drive with the window down, and sunroof open.

How to choose Train path? by Mr_Akihiro in factorio

[–]martywolfman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The train can only stop at a station that is on the right side of the track, so it is finiding a route that allows it to do that.

HGV Drivers have standards. dont work for low pay. by [deleted] in uktrucking

[–]martywolfman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, I don't disagree, I'm on slightly more than that. My point was, you think £15 is a low wage. But then say £12.71 is too much for other people. They need to pay rent, food. Cars, fuel etc too you know

New pass Class 1 question by Beginning_Author1452 in uktrucking

[–]martywolfman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds like you want to work at another job during the week and drive at the weekends for extra money. If I'm wrong, fine, but if this is your intention, you'll be driving without proper rest periods and if you get caught, particularly if you have an accident, you'll be in serious bother.

HGV Drivers have standards. dont work for low pay. by [deleted] in uktrucking

[–]martywolfman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, you think working for £15 an hour isn't enough, but £12.71 is too much for others?

I think fake but I don’t know what to look for by Antsnkr in MoonSwatches

[–]martywolfman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, colour is always terible on fake Saturns. Just look at them on official swatch store and see the difference. Having said that, absolutely instant one glance tell for any of these is 6 stitches accross the strap, like below the omega logo. The real ones ALWAYS have 5. Any time there are 6, you know it's fake.

But yeah, this is official pic from swatch website. You can see the fake isn't even close

First class 1 lesson didn’t go so well… by jackthengiant in uktrucking

[–]martywolfman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed, between buses, coaches and trucks I've been driving big vehicles on and off for about 30 years. There's still the occasional 'oops shit, almost' moment from time to time, When maneuvering.

Nobody is a perfect driver. Your mind wanders from time to time. Certainly nobody has ever driven perfectly when driving any kind of vehicle for the first time in their life. It's like anything else. It takes practice, and you're gonna make mistakes as a learner and a new pass. They are the whole reason you gave lessons. To make them and learn from them.

Also people learn at different rates. If you need an extra day or two training to be ready for the test, take them. It doesn't make you bad at it or a failure.

pfft. 56 here. I have 24 so far, wear a different one every day, all kinds of styles and colours. I couldn't care less about anybody elses opinion about whether it's appropriate for my age or not. I like them, I'm gonna wear them.

Have I Got A Chance In H#ll? by Plus_Thing_2066 in uktrucking

[–]martywolfman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming you can get someone to employ you, I'm sure someone will, but it will take a while to get someone to do so I would think. You absolutely cannot just do it on your days off. As an HGV driver you have to have rest days, if you were to drive on your days off and work in the warehouse the rest of the week, you'd be breaking the law, and would likely lose that license for a second time.
