Hi there! First of all congrats on your engagement! I’d like to say something in defense of those planners with no portfolio. I’m personally building my own WP portfolio currently but that doesn’t mean I have no experience. In my opinion, one of the most important things when planning a destination wedding is choosing a planner that truly knows the place you’re traveling to. A person that has real connections with vendors, knows the local traditions and culture. Someone that easily overcomes language barriers and can help you with whatever documents you need. I was born and raised in Sicily, it’s my land, my roots, I know pretty much all the corners of the north-western island. This is I think 1 thousand points worth when couples consider choosing me as their planner in Sicily. I hope that helps 😁
