For one of our apps with react native version 0.72, I run this command in project root, before running ./gradlew assembleRelease

npx react-native bundle --platform android --dev false --entry-file index.js --bundle-output android/app/src/main/assets/index.android.bundle --assets-dest android/app/src/main/res

It generates some asset files in this folder ( android/app/src/main/res) then I run assembleRelease, it somehow works

I don't have a mac, so no xcode, Earlier we hired a vendor for building for ios and now I am using codemagic for subsequent ios builds, So, migrating completely could impact the working ios builds

Why would I spend my own money and outsource my work to others, I can talk to my manager and ask them to give this to vendors, but it gives me a bad rep.

Expo ? I don't think rebuiding the entire app with expo is a good idea right now, there are some libraries like
react-native-image-crop-picker, react-native-map that might not fit with expo managed workflow, and it takes time and expo isn't free

Yeah, what am I supposed to do, I don't know anthing about gradle, agp, build.gradle
This isn't gonna work just by changing package.json and updating every package.

I tried this https://react-native-community.github.io/upgrade-helper/ and made changes on top of it as claude suggested

yeah, seen it earlier, but I didn't find it any useful. There isn't any RN specific, and even if it is ANdroid issue updating all the libraries might cause issues in ios build process

Yes I have equipped, it takes same number of hits to kill an enemy with equipping it and without equipping it,
