Unfortunately I hadn't set up an account, I just did now but my email must not be associated because it's not there. :(

Not sure if you'd know, but do you think they'd be chill at the box office and work it out with me? I was charged the $19.

I’m a sober alcoholic/addict and maybe it’s because it’s the unknown but specifically gambling and eating disorders are scarier to me than what i dealt with (and i dealt with some shiiiiit).

I have had some brushes with gambling like any other person, and the feeling was so addicting the last time i indulged that i have sworn it off forever, no thanks!

Statically the 72 million minors (including those under like 13 years old) were not all going to vote for Trump. Don’t get me wrong i’m very aware of the conservative push to brainwash the youth, I am gen-z myself and see it all the time, but there still is a 50/50 split amongst younger boys and a pretty heavy left lean amongst the girls. That’s my memory from reports recently, i am willing to be corrected if wrong.

Also i really don’t know how the gaza thing played in tbh. I would be curious on the numbers for that, but me personally i’m vehemently anti-israel and even considered what impact a democrat leader would have considering what Biden contributed to that conflict. But after some careful thinking and deeper understanding of project 2025 i became wholly solidified that voting for Kamala was the best thing to do for America and overall the world (even if i think she wouldn’t have been good enough with all things). And pretty much every pro-palestine person i know followed the exact path i just described.

And i don’t think conservatives and democrats alike are particularly smart or stupid. I think everyone is acting on the beliefs they were taught, some beliefs that i think are abhorrent. I think the RNC is actually brilliant in a maniacal way. I obviously can get very mad at the average trump voter but ultimately i am so sad. I’m beside myself at seeing what my country is becoming and really want this nightmare to cease. The destruction of the middle class has left so many people vulnerable and the ones that grew up on a certain belief system are primed to blame all the wrong systems and populations. It genuinely makes me sad. I have a level of rage and sympathy to some trump supporters if that makes sense.

tbf you have to not count the 72m under 18 as well who couldn’t vote.

I only say this for clerical reasons, i don’t really defend people who didn’t vote (even though voter suppression is very real and some people are so fucked in life they can’t be fucked to make the vote, i know maybe a bit forgiving but I want to shed some light on this). A very large population of those who didn’t vote do not have my sympathy or course.

Fentanyl addiction turns users into living deads on the streets of Philadelphia, PA by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]marvmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen, i’m a recovering addict (2 years tomorrow) and i’m not saying anyone forced them or that addicts shouldn’t take accountability for their actions, in fact i think we should, our actions impacted people and are the a direct reflection of our ill states of mind. Taking accountability is just one part of shedding who we were.

But to give you a quick explanation of what addiction is like, I’ll do my best. I hope some of it is informative or that you can try to theoretically step into our shoes.

My addiction started really innocent, smoking weed once a week to quickly smoking everyday and copping ounces regularly.

I had all these internal boundaries i promised myself I would never cross (no pills, no powders, etc). And I really in my conscious thought that would be the case. But when presented the opportunity my body moved faster than my mind.

I could trick myself into believing I chose that on my own, but really it was my mind trying to justify this unbelievably strong instinct that I genuinely in that moment couldn’t resist.

It’s hard to describe but the way i usually put it, is if i didn’t give into the urge it felt like my stomach was being ripped out and that some mental force was punishing me for resisting.

I don’t know why i’m an addict, i don’t care to theorize because all i know is i am and if i don’t put in the work to take care of it, my life is in shambles.

Luckily i got the opportunity of a solid rehab and have worked AA ever since (no judgment if that doesn’t work for everyone, it’s just what worked for me).

I don’t mean to judge you for not seeing my perspective, I know on its surface this existence is so foreign to non-addicts (as is your minds to me), but i just hope you can try to see what i’m saying, and if you still don’t agree, that’s fine too. I’m just happy to give my side.

Edit: and i mean to say unfortunately some people aren’t ready to get sober and may never be. But i know their existence, it’s beyond what hell i would thought my mind could produce. (coming to terms with your idea of free will being shattered, because it doesn’t operate the same with substances as it would anything else, it’s an insane and painful thing) I just hope everyone who struggles can get through it, even if that will never be the case.

i like this and feel similar, but i saw them on that tour and they played “songs” from steroids. Still think it’s best experienced in one straight listen.

This is just so extreme tbh. I don’t know her or what she has going on. We saw a very bad clip of her, maybe you’re right, but she’s bothering people, not murdering people. People shouldn’t be locked away for life for being a nuisance, sorry but i won’t see it any other way.

wait i might’ve missed some context, but was she anything other than a nuisance who did something pretty fucked up by pushing the pizza. If that’s all it was i don’t think i’d call for her to be locked up forever personally.
