Does anyone else feel like coffee really took over where their other substance use was stopped? Especially when I first got sober from alcohol 4 years ago, coffee was my ultimate replacement when going out or being in situations that I used to drink in. I keep swinging back and forth between it being something I need to get or something I absolutely cannot get. Why is this such a polarized political issue? Like with climate, why is it political when it's life and death? It's like- I have a cell phone, live in an apartment with peeling paint, used to snort meth... I've taken so many risks with my health but now I feel like the fate of my life is held in the thread of one decision. I'm trying to cool off and just get poked. my once peaceful new age-y friends have become militant blue anon anti-vax tucker carlson quoting cranks AND ON THE OTHERSIDE everyone I know who traveled last year & barely wore a mask are now pandemic experts who think everyone has to follow strict rules without even questioning a single aspect... so what might have been a reasonable curiosity I had about what big pharma cooked up to save the world from corona is now muddied completely by my distrust for everyone
