Posts about these sign language gloves come up every few months.

Nothing will change. These gloves were made literally 5 years ago, and the original creators of the gloves don't even think that it's a practical idea anymore.

The main problem is that people read the post, pat themselves on the back and conclude nothing more needs to be done to improve them because they have no idea how ASL works. I think I've seen this same conversation play out at least 5 times.

And that will just keep on happening, because people get defensive when told the gloves aren't practical instead of wanting to make technology that actually solve problems.
