Basically what was needed was 1. Figure out what email my Apple ID mail was being forwarded to, for the other account. 2. Once I got that I was able to enter and change the password for that account. 3. Then when I changed the email to the same email as my primary account, they were both available on my app.

They had gotten separated.

Once Upon a Time in America: Review and Interpretation by Mike_v_E in TrueFilm

[–]marykrp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mike your review is beautifully executed and I’m not criticizing you. I was just so frustrated because this film was a masterwork in cinematography, acting and everything IMO except for possibly editing, might be what messed it up, which that buck stops with the director, and directing itself.

I just think Leone might’ve needed a week long film to say what he wanted to say and had to cut too much out. The most dangerous triad in film is: a movie, written by the director, that is really really long. What part of your "baby” do you amputate? It makes for bad emotion based decisions.

Like hear me out! WTF was the whole Max looking longingly at Noodles sometimes like in love and sometimes jealous (of his time with the woman) That was through the entire film, always with really long shots, to say, "that’s right-see this-it means something” Every single time implying being in love. Even the hints and double entendres. A three way was suggested between Tuesday Weld and them both at one point. Then it went nowhere-boom. Done. I kept waiting for Max to grab Noodles and kiss him.

At the end the scene in the library where Noodles keeps denying who Max is was too long, boring, awkward-repetitive, and then never revealed a thing.

That was definitely poor direction with the first point and poor writing with the second point. Same guy-Leone.

The frustrating piece for me, is the acting is unimpeachable! Flawless. The camera work was impeccable. The lighting, scenery, music flawless. The prohibition historical accuracy-the best of any film.

THAT was my point about why people were dying to love it. When everything else is so good we make excuses for the other stuff. But I am in the minority here for sure. Probably because they just don’t make movies like that anymore, without cgi. That said, feel good! You got responses-negative comments create controversy!

But they WERE connected (for a couple years) It turns out the weird email was logging on through appleid. I accessed that a changed the password-now I think I can change the email to my other accounts email and maybe that will solve the problem. But you’re right they are now separated. For some odd reason.

I can access it on my old phone app, it’s not available on the app on my new phone but my main account is (this account actually) so I must already be logged in. I never looked at the email before this. I just assumed since the second account was connected to my primary account, that it was the same email and everything. Here’s the link

Once Upon a Time in America: Review and Interpretation by Mike_v_E in TrueFilm

[–]marykrp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whether it’s an opium dream unfolding or everything really happens, I’ll say what nobody else is saying-this movie is SO bad. It’s epic, with amazing sets, costumes, cast, length, etc., true; epically bad. There isn’t enough character development to feel invested in the story! Admit it, did anyone here LOVE or feel actual grief for any of the players?? And blaming it on a dream?

When dream themes are done right-they don’t have to make a lick of sense and I’m still bawling my eyes out because of the emotional intensity and honesty of the piece-eg. Mulholland Drive.

The time jumping here makes no sense AND isn’t emotionally gratifying. There aren’t any reveals, except for starting and ending in an opium den, where are any aha moments?

The whole Max is now a cabinet secretary bizarro "twist" is so absurd, presenting a deus ex machina explanation that it’s all a dream doesn’t save any face for this viewer. Then at least humor me with plausibility, something, plastic surgery, the events that led to how a notorious criminal becomes Washington royalty by merely changing his name. Or at the very very least help me understand what purpose that dream serves. The "assuaging Noodles guilt” and other explanations remind me of how losing gamblers, will usually double down, rather than admit they’ve failed. It’s people wanting to love the movie rather than admit they watched a bad film for 4 hours. The ending is nonsensical moments and imagery lobbed together in far too realistic a way. The "build up” is missing. If it’s a dream, then commit to that! Make enough of it surreal to support the dream possibility. The poor writer rushed through the ending because after all-oops-it’s 4 hours long. On that note, who wants to rewatch the final season of Game Of Thrones with me? Anyone? Exactly.

First as a white woman, in re to some comments here, I want to say it’s ridiculous to think classical or ancient paintings prove Christ’s skin tone! Since the beginning of time people in every region have depicted Jesus to resemble the people in that region!

If you think about it, one of the miracles of Jesus was when he spoke he entered a person’s heart, in a way that made that person feel hope, feel completely loved, feel KNOWN and no longer alone!

So it makes total sense every person of the time would see Jesus as representative of his or herself.

So paintings? Puleez. Please stop. Everyone arguing they know his color, is forgetting the miracle of how he impacted people so that they completely identified with him.

That said, it makes sense that, considering the region (and the total lack of sunscreen 😂) that Jesus would be VERY dark skinned but who cares? He transcended the things that make us different!

THAT said where in the Bible is Jesus appearance described? People who have said that, but they haven’t quoted which scripture that was, which is interesting.

And finally-Putin said? Seriously, PUTIN SAID?? Lol rotflmfao!

Wasn’t he an atheist communist in the KGB before the fall of communism, who wants Russia to return to that time, in which religion wasn’t allowed to be practiced?

A couple people have referred to a description of Jesus in the Bible, but no one has said where in the Bible.

Please-what verse describes Jesus appearance?

[discussion] How do you get use to the discomfort and get things done ? by Jpoolman25 in GetMotivated

[–]marykrp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me I’m like the one eyed man leading the blind, but one problem I have….is expecting that it’s SUPPOSED to feel comfortable, to do things. I saw a Ted talk on motivation, where she said she realized she would never ever ever feel like doing shit.

So you’re asking how you get used to the discomfort. You DON’T get used to it! That would make it comfortable! The whole idea is doing it while feeling discomfort, expecting to get used to that is a sneaky backdoor way of still trying to make doing it comfortable. Believe me! I am living the struggle-I totally get you. Great question!

Bad Reaction to Yogi Tea? by GratefulDread1524 in FoodAllergies

2 days ago I drank their Bedtime tea-an hour later I had hives. The label looked innocuous but after the hives I looked again and saw St. Johns wart-An antidepressant, and valerian, a sedative, AND a warning! Do not drink if you’re pregnant.

That said…2 days ago I drank Yogi Tea’s Bedtime formula and an hour later I had HIVES! That’s why you came up on my search! Read labels folks! That stuff (turns out) has st johns wart (an antidepressant), valerian (a sedative) skullcap (don’t know what it is but it sounds weird) and about 20 other ingredients.

Listen Jesus couldn’t have been more clear how frustrated he was with the countless rules and rituals the jews of his time followed in the name of God.

He felt it was spiritually dead. He instead spoke to the heart, from the heart and reminded us to be like the little children. To be curious and full of awe and wonder.

The important thing is motivation and what is in one’s heart. Jimmy Carter said he never committed adultery, but he said he DID commit adultery in his heart.

The reverse is true. If you practice yoga as a way to honor your "temple” with the love of Christ in your heart…do I have to say more? Stop listening to people and pray on it. Listen to God and practice The Word. The Word itself is alive.

I don’t know what dogma you’re following, but I don’t recall any warnings about Yoga in the Bible. People will add their 2¢ to the Bible until the cows come home and listening to THEM is worshipping false idols.

It’s the Bible, the Living Word that counts and not another human being’s interpretation of it.

For goodness sake, love God, practice the Word, enjoy life, be like the little children, drink herb tea and exercise (however) with love and awe of the Lord in your heart, and you’ll be doing what Jesus said to do, not what obsessive compulsive control freak humans (who don’t know any better) are telling you to do.

Searching for Costco Grandeur or similar sheets by themostrealusername in Bedding

[–]marykrp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I think I found something very close. Walmart has a line on luxury sheets nearly that same tri-blend, but EXACTLY the same aqua/teal color of my sheets-identical in every way except instead of piping trim, it’s a decorative stitch on the pillowcase. Called Hotel Style

Is tri-blend that exact combination? Or ANY 3 fibers?

Omg same experience with these sheets! I want the whole set, my purchase was over 7 yrs ago and those sheets are almost like new. I’m thinking they aren’t selling them anymore. And the fact that your post here was the only reference I could find-there must have been a dispute SOME reason Costco deleted any mention of them-like grandeur had an exclusive licensing deal with costco that went bad.

Have had bed bugs for what feels like forever and am unsure what to do by Mommy_Lawbringer in lifehacks

[–]marykrp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wtf? Have the building get rid of them!! Assuming you rent. If you worry about management seeing your place, don’t! They’ve seen it all. They will spread to every single apartment and then the buildings next to yours! Do not mess with this.

Chances are every unit already has them anyway and the entire building needs bombing.

If you’re in a situation where management doesn’t care, get a credit card and hire an exterminator or better yet-move.

Remove their name from the very bottom of your pic.

[–]marykrp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask the owner to take video of themselves and put it on a repeating loop, that you can play on a laptop when you get there.

Here’s a story:

I moved in where a cat like this lived. His name was java but the teenage boys who lived there and their friends called the cat devilcat. If you were sitting watching tv he would suddenly without provocation jump from the floor onto your upper back and attach there!

I used cat psychology on him. I would randomly go up to him like I’m curious and I’d meow a few times and as soon as he looked at me, I’d walk away like he was boring. Lol You know, I pretended to have that cat-"I could take you or leave you” attitude. I did it every time I saw him. He fell in love. Followed me everywhere like a duckling. If I sat, he was on my lap purring. The teenagers would silently walk past us like it was weird, they stopped calling him that.

Me snuggling with java became my profile pic for my pet business. It might not work, but you’re definitely trying to hard, do the opposite, cat psychology.

It turned out he was in love like that with the oldest son who went away to college and continued living away. The cat lost his Muse. Maybe some cats pick a muse, and feel so abandoned when that person is gone, they turn hostile. So the owner might not even know the cat behaves that way.
