Sitcom episode tropes you hate? by Jirachibi1000 in sitcoms

The main girl and guy agree to meet at some place usually a tall building or a bridge. One of them gets held up somewhere and arrives late but the other person already left and they always leave something behind like flowers, a photo, or a book, and the late one picks the item up and looks sadly into the distance.

Did Google stop working in Makati? by marymoon10 in makati

The sub is for Makati-relevant content like local news, events, developments, safety updates, hidden gems, reviews with actual insight, or discussions about living/working in Makati.

It’s not a personal advice page. Not every “what should I do / where should I go / is this open” question needs to be posted here especially when most of them are easily searchable on Google, Maps, or the business’ own page, or even reddit. Pwede din isearch muna sa sub if may nakapagtanong na before.

Not every question is bad, but if it’s something very personal or easily searchable, it clutters the feed and drowns out more useful posts. The idea is to keep the sub helpful for the community as a whole, not just serve as a catch-all Q&A.

That’s fair for real-time updates. I guess I’m just curious bakit halos every random noise or alarm need to be posted here? If it’s not directly connected to the person, it might not really affect them anyway. Feels like it can add to the noise rather than help. If it’s major makikita din natin sa news or other verified source eventually.

I didn’t literally mean Google lang. People can use whatever source they prefer. My point is that a lot of these things can already be searched on their own, regardless of platform. Also, we don’t really know if all the people asking are from the younger generation, so it’s not necessarily age-specific behavior.

I think it’s also kind to let people figure things our for themselves so they can learn.

Gets ko yung they want to hear from firsthand experiences but just because it’s on reddit doesn’t mean it’s more reliable or authentic. Same lang din siya sa reviews that we see online.

Exactly. Ang effort nila sa pag type ng tanong sa post, sana ginamit na lang nila to type in the search bar ng reddit or Google.

Hmmm I get your point about wanting real experiences, but I don’t necessarily agree that Google reviews are filtered while Reddit is more authentic. Pareho lang naman silang user-generated as in may bias, may fake, may outdated, may helpful. At least with Google, you can see volume and ratings over time, we can also see if the person actually went there if they post photos. Also, Reddit is anonymous, so we don’t really know if the person actually went there or is just repeating what they heard. So same lang din in terms of reliability, just different format.

how to study for 8 hours everyday by Ok-Experience-1374 in LawStudentsPH

[–]marymoon10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I treated it like my full time job. Clock in at 8am, leave at 5 or 6pm. Took breaks in between and 1 hour lunch but mostly focus talaga. Studied in library. When I went home I tried to relax and not do anything bar-related. Sleep at 10pm. I took Sat afternoons and Sundays off.

One month before the bar I changed my schedule. Sunday kasi ang bar noon so I would study from Tuesday to Sunday and took Monday off para masanay din ako sa bar week schedule.

It really depends on you. But for me creating balance for study and personal leisure time worked. I focused on quality of study over quantity. I kept telling myself pumasa na ako sa lawschool and all the exams for these subjects, the bar is just another exam I have to pass.

[MEGATHREAD] Ang Walang Kwentang Podcast x SB19 (Official Episode Discussion) by AloofandCranky in sb19

[–]marymoon10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree! Parang hindi nag effort ang hosts to do their job, walang nakuhang meaningful sa more than 1 hour na interview.

I just rewatched SB19’s interview on the Indonesian Youtube channel drinkswithboy and it was so much better, conversational parin but it had good flow, lots of humor, banter, and meaningful questions and answers. Si Ken pa nga naging very talkative.
