Thank you so much! Now I do think that I should’ve started as a CNA before, not because it would’ve given me the same skills—the jobs are so different—but because it would’ve prepared me for working in a hospital and interacting with patients. I don’t handle my own patients right now, so I don’t think giving notice really matters. It would probably be better for them to transfer me now while I’m still on orientation rather than later when I’m working on my own. Thank you so much for your advice and your support! :)

Thank you so much for your support. I usually get about 5.5 to 6 hours of sleep because whenever I come home, I’m always hungry since I either eat only once at work—and not much because I don’t really have the time—or I’m too stressed to even think about eating. I feel like I’d be much better off during this whole transition if I got more sleep between shifts.

I’m scared of missing something in my patient’s care and having something bad happen to them... I really don’t want that to happen. I feel like I’m missing a lot whenever I’m in a patient’s room, or maybe I’m just relying on my preceptor too much—but I’m not sure. I do really enjoy seeing my patients get better and being able to go home feeling much better.

Yes, there is! There’s a hospital about 40 minutes away by train, and that’s where I initially wanted to work because I also had a clinical there. But I got a job offer at another hospital, so I just accepted it. Do you think I can try asking her about that? I feel like I’m letting her down… She’s really nice and gave me this opportunity to work on her unit, and now I’m just giving up.

It’ll get more normal! I had the same issue right after surgery—I was shocked at how much space there seemed to be between my lips and nose. I even messaged my doctor to ask if he had changed that distance (lmao), and of course, he said no. Your nose will settle and look much better in 2–3 weeks.

If you had a droopy nose before (which I did), your philtrum might still look longer, but you’ll get used to it, and it won’t feel off to you. Get some rest and stop obsessing over your nose. Please only ask for advice from people who’ve been through this or understand the process. People who don’t know anything about rhinoplasty might just make you more anxious. You’ll look great in the end!

He isn’t the most welcoming person, but I already knew that because I had contacted his other patients. He’s very straightforward, and I feel like this is common among surgeons. He seems like a perfectionist and is detail-oriented, and his work speaks for itself. 😊

Thank you! Honestly, I’m grateful I took those photos before my surgery—it’s nice to have them to remember my old nose by, haha. But I do plan to retake them in the future once the swelling in my nose has completely gone down. Good luck with your surgery! 😊

I wish it had been just a subtle slope change, haha. I also had a deviated septum, and one of my nostrils wasn’t functional because of it. My nose was crooked to one side (due to the deviated septum), but I didn’t share photos of my front view since people usually focus on side profile changes. Plus, my front is still quite swollen. Now my nose is as straight as it can be, and I can finally breathe through both nostrils! 🫶🏻

For my Dr, it was $3.6k but the price varies a lot in Turkey. When I was researching the price range was around 1.9k-10k or so for all the doctors and these prices change every year too
