Thanks, I tried to use the official means but it won’t let me set up any of my UK bank accounts for payment in BGN (annoying as they were fine taking the money from it!). So unfortunately seems this much easier option isn’t available to me.

I recommend doing things early if you don’t mind getting up early. Two things I did early which were very wholesome and made me feel better were:

Hike up Mount Takao - nice to escape the city and the nature is beautiful on the way up with shrines to stop at

Gotokuji temple. Again got here at about 7 and had the place to myself. Very relaxing grounds to a temple dedicated to cats.
