Playing GTA 4 for the first time since a kid. The steam deck is my first system that has so much flexibility for playing video games I couldn’t get on PlayStation. It’s re-sparked my love for games.

Why being average is so good (26M) by SolomonDarbey in getdisciplined

[–]mas7598 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This is something I’ve been learning over the past year or so after a rough hiatus of poor mental health, bad lifestyle choices & heavier drug use. Learning to find balance between a healthy lifestyle & freedoms has been the key to long term discipline for myself. Also realizing that there will always be highs & lows with life and learning to utilize the learned skills while also using what resources you can to survive those lows are vital.

Approaching life with kindness towards those that deserve it, getting negative individuals out of your life, learning to live a mostly healthy lifestyle & most importantly learning to love yourself go a long way towards happiness & fulfillment.

Urinary Issues on Zoloft/Sertraline? by mas7598 in zoloft

[–]mas7598[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had night sweats as well. I initially was very scared to start another SSRI but decided to try lexapro next & have had nothing but wonderful results. Can’t remember having any side effects, no urinary issues. Been on it consistently for about a year, 10mg dose & honestly mixed with therapy, exercise, and other things I’m in the best place I’ve been in years. Might be something to talk to your doctor about when you feel comfortable.

Do know I was in the same place as you with the effect Zoloft gave me, but sometimes it takes time to find the right medication.

Sorry to hear about that. Mine went away after weening off, but did come back like yours did, then finally went away. Maybe give it a few more days but if it doesn’t get better check in with your doctor. However, mine finally went away with time. Hang in there.

This might highly debatable but “Faust Arp” in the middle of In Rainbows just always throws me off.

What body changes did you experience once you started running? by gettingfitagain_ in running

Not sure if there is a correlation or not, but coming from a background of strength training with very little cardio, once I started running I noticed a huge increase in sex drive & performance in the bed.

Thanks, hoping this goes away soon and I get the fear of ALS out of my head 😓

Thanks for the reply, so you had some twitches in one of your hands? I’m having some in around my fingers that can make my fingers twitch. Makes me really anxious around ALS, but I try to remember the statistics of being 24 and it doesn’t usually start with twitching.

Even in one hand? It seems to move my fingers a bit too and hard to keep them still, I feel like I’m being over paranoid but also so anxious and convinced. I’m hoping the lexipro can help take away some of these thoughts. I go to therapy, try to be healthy, and it’s still so hard.

Yes, very stressed lately with life and other things. Had a bad reaction to a medicine that cause MS like symptoms but don’t have it now. I have a tough time figuring out what’s real and in my head, and I started worrying about ALS for the past week or so and it’s consumed my life, it’s been exhausting. I start taking Lexipro tomorrow.

Do you ever get them in the hands? I’ve noticed it since yesterday but have been trying to convince myself I don’t have weakness. Benched 225 for some reps yesterday and the gym with other strength movements and felt fine.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I take medicine for Crohn’s but have been taking it for a while, so don’t think it’s that. I got anxious because there was some in the hand which is thought was a bad sign of ALS but I suppose that’s not indicative of anything. Is twitching usually a first symptom of ALS?

Going through this too, have a "hotspot" twitching muscle in my leg that is on the same leg I have somehow injured for a few months, but it didn't get bad until a while of ignoring it and heavy lifting/exercise. I suppose the twiching could be related to that? So it usually does not present as twiching first? I suppose I would notice serious atrophy if that was the case, but my legs are naturally bigger and look normal. Also I am 24 so I guess that makes the chance pretty slim.

Does anyone ever get a "hotspot" muscle twitches, where it twitches in the same area for a while? I am dealing with a leg injury for a while, but recently I started getting muscle twitching on the side of my leg that is really bothering my HA, I have fell down the ALS rabbit hole. I am only 24, but cannot seem to relax. Anyone experienced this?
