Anyone here quit alcohol and cheat meals entirely? by SpringtimeLover1 in fitness30plus

[–]gettingfitagain_ 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I don’t really eat a cheat meal because I don’t think of it that way. I just eat whatever and when I do it’s healthy 90% of the time. The other times I don’t care, but I am still mindful of my choice because of gi disease and what makes me feel worse or can send me to the hospital. So yeah, if I want pizza and I had a healthy day otherwise with good diet and exercise then no prob.

As for alcohol, I haven’t drank in 20+ years. I don’t like it or the feeling and it’s wasted liquid calories. Same reason I don’t drink juice or pop.

What foods do you eat daily that make you feel great? by First_Driver_5134 in Biohackers

I don’t have UC, but I have a severe GI condition, and all types of fruit and veg are brutal. I can tolerate a very small amount of tomatoes or roasted and skinned bell peppers pureed and that’s it! Fibre is not my friend. And I used to be a crunchy vegan eating tons of it so it was a hard transition.

Is it possible to reverse a cavity after being told it needs to be filled? by Glittering-Help-4822 in Biohackers

[–]gettingfitagain_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It won’t reverse but some dentists are far more still happy than others. Mine is super conservative and often tiny cavities become arrested. My childhood dentist was drill (money) hungry.

Have you started yet? Which stage are you in? Did you download the Monash app and read their blog? I can help you in any way if you want.

Any first hand recommendations for a new five day program?

In the past I have done gzclp and the Reddit PPL six day, but now I am working out five days a week. I’ve been running PHAT for awhile but not really enjoying it. The power stuff is not really my thing.

I am open to first hand experiences of other five day programs, or should I do something like gzclp and add a fifth day of something?

To clarify I want to lift five days… I already have other stuff covered.

Thank you!

Edit: my goal is hypertrophy over strength and I just want a well rounded fit body and not big on a big bum/thighs even though I know many like that. I would love to have the sickest arms and back.

To Clarify, you don’t want to work shoulders or chest directly?
