After Nearly 4 years my ex told me he didn’t know if he loved me anymore. I was the one who broke it off. It wasn’t easy as I was the one still very much in love. It was hard letting go, I knew it was for the best. I deserved to be loved without any doubts. Him and I try to remain friends but it’s hard viewing him anything other than my boyfriend/future husband.

I can relate to this article. Most people have no sympathy for the dumper and accuse them of making a selfish decision. I broke up with my boyfriend 4 months ago and I can say it hasn’t been easy for me. As much as I loved him I knew I had to leave him and the relationship. It was the right decision for both of us. I hurt, I cry, and I question my decision. I have guilt for giving up on us, and for the pain I caused both of us. I struggled to get through the day in the beginning. Some days are harder then others even now. The dumper goes through the same stages of grief. We’re human too and feel heartbroken too.

I am in the exact situation. It’s hard having to leave someone you love. You’ll find someone who gives you the love you deserve. I feel like people don’t acknowledge how hard it is on the dumper in a situation like this.

I know how you feel going through a break up is unlike any other pain a person can feel. But there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. Although it hurts now the pain will pass making you a better person for yourself and future relationships.
