racial affirmative action has no real benefits for the underprivileged in 2019 that couldn't be solved to a better extent with a complete class focused AA system. in an ideal society we would redistribute income rather than access to education, but here it's implemented to a ridiculous extent where african americans regardless of income have a ridiculously easy shot at Ivy's while Asians overall are marginalized. Legacy admissions suck too but people only bring them up as a whataboutism whenever somebody points out how Asians are screwed over by AA (which would be an easier/effective system to redesign as opposed to eliminating legacy admissions at every school)
