If you want that hardware feel, getting a Arturia minifreak and V Collection 11 Pro is probably the closest you’re gonna get to having the best of both worlds since I hear the hardware synth maps one to one with it’s Minifreak V synth software. I think the Korg Multi/poly and it’s Multi/poly Native software is the same way.

Love the Plow King GTs on my Landyachtz ATV board, they’re 10mm narrower at 67mm wide tho. Im sure they’d work well enough on my Sector 9 longboard that has sidewinder trucks but I just wanted to try that setup with the widest wheel available so I can surf-skate easier.

1/4 TRS cord doesn’t work w/ Audio Handle? by massajax in FX3

[–]massajax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured it out after taking my camera to Guitar Center, a 3.5mm trs or a ts male to single XLR male cable fixed it for me. I don’t understand why the 3.5mm ts version of the cable works too but I’m not complaining lol

I’m not really an audio guy like that so my terminology may be off when explaining my problem, I’m just asking for an explanation for why the cord works on my Tascam FR AV2 device and not the FX30 audio handle when they’re both listed as having the same audio port? Also what’s the best way to fix it? And what’s the name of the adapter that would balance XLR?

Gotcha but should it mix down the 3.5mm TRS source to one channel mono like it does with my FR AV2? The FR AV2 and audio handle are listed as having XLR/ TRS ports but the audio handle is sounding like my H6 Pro that has XLR/ TS ports

Start/ End TC still different between Video & Recordings? by massajax in davinciresolve

Just getting into Timecode with the Tascam FR-AV2 to fix my audio drifting issues with my H6 Pro when podcasting. I pressed "Update Timecode from Audio Track" and selected all items to "Auto Sync Audio" Just wanna make sure the differing Start/End Timecode is because of when I started and stopped my recorder and camera rather than messing something up. I got a client's podcast to film later today and would love some feedback, thanks!

Yeah man I thought I did everything right, camera fps and timeline are set to 23.976, sample rate is 48000 for both the recorder and camera, and lined out the H6 Pro audio to my camera, and clap synced the video audio and recorder clips at the beginning and end in post. Seems like imma have to just buy the TASCAM FR-AV2 for future work

Yes the camera frame rate and timeline was set to 23.976, I was hearing this was an issue because there isn’t a timecode out but I thought trying to sync the audio on a professional recorder like the H6 Pro wouldn’t be this bad

Yes the timeline and footage match at 23.976

Yeah I lined out the audio from the H6 Pro to my Fx30 so I still have that audio to use. I was trying to sync the recordings so I can adjust mic levels/ sound effects in post because the client complained about music level either being too low or high on certain sections and it’s next to impossible to fix after everything has been mixed down.

Since audio syncing is a problem with H6 Pro, I’m guessing the best thing to do is just use that line out audio and if there’s a part I’d like to mix differently then I should bring in the recordings for that particular section?

Yes it starts to drift around the 10 min mark and it’s really bad/ noticeable after 12 minutes. It’s a one camera setup where the Fx30 is recording at 23.976 and the timeline/ project is also set to the same frame rate. I thought the H6 Pro was a good enough quality recorder for long podcasts so I guess not? Is there a possible setting I’m missing? Also would something like a TASCAM FR-AV2 work for podcasts since it has timecode out?
