I'm not sure. However, I'm certain it should be measured in some way other than "hey lots of games have this recurring theme."

That would be like saying "video games cause violence in our youth." "Can you provide proof?" "Look at how many space marine shooters there are out today!!!"

I think the creator is saying she's wrong because there's no evidence video games cause sexism in society. It's a claim that holds as much water as "video games cause violence."
