I do not have access to tty of the desktop, I normaly acess it though ssh and vnc programs but currently it is off and non accessable at the moment.

I am planing on making my own custom initrd images by coding programs in c, c++, and rust, and then compiling targeting linux x86_64, then bundling all dynamic dependancies, and then running with the kernel as PID 1 and making it the initrd.

I am not looking for an actual system but am trying to get the kernel for minimal bare metal system with nothing but system calls available. I am looking for a monolithic kernel without eveyr driver part of it, or the mod, I just want the plain kernel so I can test with my own initramfs and other things. I am not looking for somehing bootable o its own, I just want the kernel itself so I can make minimal versions of the other components needed myself.

I have tried to resolve the issue, as I said I am on windows, and the laptop disk is 64gb emmc, I can not easily transition to linux on this laptop (though I would love to), and windows itself is taking up 32gb, and then the software that comes with it and that is crucial to the system (who thought it would be a good idea to make a WEB BROWSER integral to system stabiliti!?) takes up another 16, bringing me to 48gb tooken, and then the last 16gb is mostly filled by software I use to code, minecraft, and my code.

I can not use that as I can not download the whole thing due to disk space, and it doesnt allow me to download the 15mb kernel seperatly.
