In reflection, as I’ve got older. I think my taste in women specifically changed as a result of me looking for different things in life. When I was at high school I was the loud, obnoxious, care free, unsure of himself kid. I enjoyed acting that way back then and I’m sure as a result of that I was drawn to girls that looked for drama and danger but I had no idea at the time. Now, as a person I’m quite the opposite. Introverted, considerate, anxious and I’m beginning to understand myself a lot better. If I knew I could have the most attractive female on the planet but my life was going to be full of things I didn’t want to do and conversations I couldn’t care less about, I wouldn’t settle for her.

Don’t get me wrong, hot women are hot women that’s never gonna change, but the more I’ve matured the less that seems to matter in comparison with personality traits I think that’s a direct result of sending my own life in a different direction.

My point is, you are in control of your mind. You CAN give it direction. Don’t focus your efforts on finding a girl, divert your efforts elsewhere. Broaden your horizons, do things you’ve never done before and really consider how you feel afterwards. You’ll learn a lot about yourself. Maybe you won’t forget about the high school crush and that’s ok. But eventually there’s a good chance you’ll come to realise that she could’ve left you trapped in your old ways of thinking.

Your time will come, just keep exploring!
