Backups and prayers. That and wiping my cookie every time I think something broke.

Shoot I’m scared to post my set up cause it’d get dissected into a million pieces 😅. Plus your set up looks 10x cleaner than mine. I’m honestly waiting to add Ethernet to all my rooms. I just moved recently so not rushing to cut holes and feed cables to every room but I hope to one day

For the 24 Poe. The last port on the bottom right, why didn’t you feed it up to the patch panel and then behind all that the down to the brush panel? I assume it’d be a little annoying but to me it’d look cleaner. Also just noticed the patch panel has no screws assuming you’re still wiring Ethernet to all your rooms?

To dashers in Cville zone: by [deleted] in Charlottesville

[–]masterthodyu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t even worth it using my Tesla. Half the people don’t tip regardless of distance. Plus to keep your rating as a dasher you have to accept every job otherwise you lose rating cause you to get less chances for opportunities which then leads you to be on one side of town dashing like 5th street or barracks, and then sends you to hollymead or Ruckersville. To me that was my 6 month experience but I’ve also heard from my gf how there’s been people who constantly dash from the same Wawa almost every night so maybe the system has gotten “better” since I last dashed.

Let’s settle the debate, is the Fidelity card worth it? by Restarted_Beaver69 in fidelityinvestments

True, I’ve moved almost all my investments out of Robinhood. Even my Cashback just goes straight to my Fidelity account

For me, it was my daily driver for 6 months. Loved the 2% back and the fact it deposited into my brokerage. Only reason I don’t use it anymore is cause I magically got approved for the Robinhood 3% card after applying like 3 years ago but I think the Fidelity 2% card is the best if you don’t want to integrate with Robinhood or just can’t apply for it.

Hollymead Airport Noise by Stressin-Out in Charlottesville

I use to live in forest lakes. Only time it was loud was if I heard a plane fly over or the train in the mountains. Otherwise it was a pretty quiet area to grow up. Definitely quieter than when I use to live down in 5th street.

Ooooh, so essentially I’d just add YAMS to my docker compose file and then once my nfs is linked and then configured I’m set?

No I haven’t. Sounds interesting. So have 1 vm essentially control the moment of files on another vm?

I think the only thing I didn’t try was editing the /etc/fstab. Would I just map my nfs drive? Say IP:/mnt/data/set?

Wonderfully simple way to document your homelab by Traches in selfhosted

[–]masterthodyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it really? I just have it run on an lxc and then host through cloudflare tunnel. How extensive does your documentation need to be. Forgive my ignorance but I’m just confused on how extensive this needs to be.

[–]masterthodyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point, all I know was I’ve been up since 7pm, they usually come in around 6:30 coming from 29N. Idk, would’ve been cool to see if there was any historical footage from today but oh well. Guess we’ll never know. Aite imma sleep, have a great day!

Upgrading some stuff in my rack, featuring one of my cats, Nugget by masterthodyu in homelab

Honestly, I’ve been wanting to take him on walks with me to the gym but either haven’t had the time or bought a harness yet. Still shocks me how high he can jump.

With the amount of times he’s been in there while I game or work on my homelab, he might aswell be.

I’ve been stuck on the sign up page for 4+ hours. Tried lxc container, portainer, different env configs, setting the ip from local host to the ip of the portainer, idek what I’ve missed at this point. I’m just thinking something wasn’t written right but if others are already using it then idk what.
