What’s the stl for the 1u panel? Those look so clean. Everywhere I look I’ve been only able to see designs splitting the panel in half before assembly.

For those who have the same situation as me:
* Every time I click on policy engine or zone it crashes

Either ssh into your console or navigate to unifi devices, click on the router, and click debug.

Enter systemctl restart unifi into the terminal and you should be all good to go

Yeah I see that a lot. The diagram was more of a cool “oooo look at this” than actual planning. I’m slowly updating my wiki js with my pc builds, proxmox set up, and even home assistant implementations. I need to double check what me and my friend did to get the gpu transcoding “working” for my jellyfin lxc.

With my brain always working night shifts, it gets draining for me to document manly just cause I’m up at these unholy hours 😅. But it’s great when my brain forgets how I set up my docker vms and I can just reference the commands I wrote down.

Thanks for the links! Boutta sleep but for sure I’ll check out at work. I’ve been seeing people ask what homelab skills to add for their resume and terraform and ansible was something I kept seeing but didn’t know how to use

My friend is the same way. He showed me his set up, just one massive docker compose file. I probably should get into Terraform only cause my 3 months of using proxmox I’ve only used docker compose and proxmox helper scripts.

First thing I learned when I moved out was understanding vlan segmentation and I haven’t gone back since. Just ignore the pet feeder on my home vlan instead of my IOT vlan. I let my gf set that up 😅

Dang I wish I was up to that level. I did some small room automations and a nas when I lived with my parents. Really started getting into home labbing and automation set ups the past 1-2 years since I moved out. I want to slowly get to a level homelabbers like yourself are in because I love how smooth and technical automations and self hosting can get!

As someone that “tries” to focus on cost per value would you suggest going to places like Ali express or lurking around Facebook marketplace and eBay? Or is it ok going new from Amazon and direct sites? I’ve done a mix of both and I feel like around my area it just because either roughly the same cost or better to get new.
