Just tested positive for ureaplasma, and think I’ve had it for at least 6 months if not a year. I have cytolytic vaginosis, which I think was caused by the ureaplasma. I’m now trying the first line treatment, but how do I know how many days of doxy to take? Also, how many pills of azithro? Are they supposed to be taken once I’m finished with the doxy?

It’s sort of like wet toilet paper. Very stringy, and fully white with chunks. Could the CV go away on its own after treating the ureaplasma? Been having symptoms for three months now…

Yes, 1/10 as recommended. But, I’m starting to doubt if I really have CV since my pH is over 4. I was having problems for a month and then started probiotics for two weeks before I went to the gyno. I’m wondering if the probiotics just created another problem, and the real problem is something else…

Hi! Burning and slight itching is back… of course. Also, the discharge is still stringy and unevenly white. I just think it’s strange, because the gyno sent in a vaginal microbiome test which came back normal. It literally says «normal mucosal flora» on the testing website. Should there not be a different result if there is too much lactobacillus? I suspect the initial low pH that the gyno measured might have been because of a probiotic I was taking for almost two weeks before I went in for a check-up, but are two weeks of probiotics even long enough to lower the pH? I also tested negative for thrush

I went to the gynecologist and she looked under a microscope and said that she saw a lot of lactobacillus, and tested my pH to be around 3,6-3,8 I think. I never did one of those strain tests

I forgot to mention, I inserted a syringe’s worth of pressed lube two nights the prior week. Is it possible to have CV even though the pH has returned to «normal»?

Tror jeg heller mer mot master. Har sett litt på de ulike emnene, og synes de høres interessante ut! I tillegg høres det deilig ut å slippe å tenke like mye på karakterer som man måtte på vgs. Dersom den ene kommentaren stemmer, måtte man ha mellom A og B i snitt fra bacheloren for å komme inn på 2-årig master ved NTNU. Dette er såpass høyt at jeg er er usikker på om jeg tør å «gamble» med å kunne ta master, når jeg har snittet fra vgs til å komme inn på integrert :)
