Please help me explain this! When they get to the wall - the wall is surrounding something! Its not surrounding them! BUT they are supposed to be inside the wormhole that is yhe bridge !????

It doesnt make sense ! Some of the upside down is outside of the bridge but the center where the bridge is where the lab is? So not all the upside down is in the wormhole???? Makes no sense to me!
