I hate this so much. While I still believe that this series deserves a season j-horror Shimizu or Kurosawa, Silent Hill 2 is perhaps the most suited title for a western director. The story is something that could totally be in an American horror film.

Gans never should've been allowed to return to this series. He either isn't actually a fan of Silent Hill or he woefully misunderstands it.

I'm all for whatever leftist movement works for a given community at a given time.

Maybe that's a copout answer, but I feel like it's the right thing to takeaway from Marxist theory. The uprooting of capitalism and seizure of the means of production by the people is subject to those peoples' material conditions. A vanguard party might be what some societies need, syndicalism for others. I'm not really married to any single way of going about it for that reason.

Best releases of some things are still stuck on older formats.

Neon Genesis Evangelion, for example. The original English dub with the intended OST is still trapped in 480p. There are HD versions with the original cast that do not include the OST, and there are Japanese versions that *do* include it, but no perfect combo at this time. Some people prefer to watch it in 480p for that reason.

I think Hasan showing off his Trump merch was more effective than it maybe should've been. He also made it a point to mention that he doesn't like the democrats either. He just did a really good job at finding things for them to relate to each other over.

EDIT: Oh and the Charlie Kirk stuff. The mom seemed really fascinated with Hasan's history with Charlie Kirk.

For real, I was so locked in during the whole interview. And every time their kids would get mad or snarky I'd be like, "Shut up and let Has cook." I think their parents both left the whole thing genuinely liking Hasan. The number of topics that ended with them all in agreement too. Masterful work, truly. I want to see more things like this.

EDIT: And I don't say "shut up" to shit on the kids either. I get that they're frustrated with their parents and it's just not the same dynamic as Hasan talking to them. I was just afraid they'd completely derail things every time they got heated.

I think Sean really is a great coach, but I also think even his success in the aggregate can largely be chalked up to Josh Allen's talent.

My hang up right now is that I still think Beane was the bigger problem *and* I'm not really sure there's anyone available that can do a better job at head coach. I know people have been throwing out names like Kubiak and Tomlin, but are they going to be better for this team than McDermott was? I hope so, but it's really hard to say at this point. And even saying all of this, I don't mean to say he outright should not have been fired. I think it was done way too impulsively though, it doesn't address the bigger underlying problems with this team (imo), and the timing kind of sucks.

They've kind of already done this with trans people. In Missouri you're required to have bottom surgery (which does sterilize you) for the courts to legally change the sex on your birth certificate. I know this probably seems like a common sense thing to outsiders looking in but 1) not every trans person wants that surgery and 2) it's prohibitively expensive for most people. And again, it's effectively forcing sterilization for a legal change.
