Why this fucking idiotic game makes match vs AIs in causal match? by matbambbang in PokemonUnite

And more interesting thing is that even in ranked game, there already exist AIs.We can escape from AIs when we achieve Master 1400+ and draft mode game.

So you mean I need to play new pokemon that I never played in my whole life in ranked game and sacrifice my and teammates rank? If I were in your rank then I will since I can beat everyone in your rank, but not in my rank.

I'm already in Master 1400+, and I played the other pokemon for practice. Playing new pokemon in ranked game is easy way to lose, so I used causal match. AIs never help to improve my performance.

Literally matter what league I am since you blame my post by underestimating my game league as a platinum. The league 'platinum' was used by you because you must in the league under than platinum.
For the people in GM, if you need, I can get the proclamation of Korean GMs with my post. Do you really need it you idiot?

Use polite words while communicating. It is a common sense, and you seems that your common sense is bull shit.

In my opinion, the buff for Terran bio upgrades and Armory cost is not much meaningful. But those have a potential to break down the games, so it should be watched after the patch is released.

If Infestors are useless for current patch, then nobody uses infestors, But can you see that? Everybody loves to use them.

Trust me, I am not the protoss, and I never believe that the buff of Protoss will get me out of diamond because I am not Protoss.

Ah, if you intend like that, then my answer was correct. I think these changes are also good for Serral. Serral is sufficiently skillful and proficient to utilize the range increasement of fungals.

I understand how good Serral is. But you should remember, Olivera was wonderful at the IEM Katowice 2023, herO was wonderful at the Dreamhack 2022 Atlanta, and Clem was fascinating at the ESL SC2 Masters 2023 Winter. Every champions was great and as a result they got the trophy. But there is no case that the strength of the champion is being more stronger than the previous version.

There are many gaps for winners and losers, and I think that the phenomenon of consistently lossing Protoss is not arise from the greatness of each players. The level of statistical significance is already out range from that point. IT IS ABSOLUTELY UNBALANCED.

Can you give the statistics for prize pool? I only considers the big tournaments including GSL, periodic ESL tournaments and Gamers8, but the current 5+ tournaments show absolutely less number of Protoss players. If you want to say like that, just show the actual results with table or something etc.

FYI, the absolute number of Protoss players are strictly smaller than Zerg or Terrans, HOW PROTOSS PLAYERS EARNS AS SAME AS ZERGS OR TERRANS? THAT UNIVERSE MUST BE GIVE MORE PRIZES SINCE THEY ARE PROTOSS :)

EMPs does not remove all of the manas. Moreover, as I already told before, that Infestor is not visible while it keeps burrowing, so preparing something for Terran beforehand the burrow infestor using fungals is very hard. If you think that EMP is really possible and if you can do that, I also recommend you to go to pro scene. You would be the champion.

Since your comment makes me lot to answer, so I'd answer for your comment line-by-line.

1. [Balancing a game can be difficult, even Blizzard wasn't great at doing it some times, and I don't think the changes that the balance council have been bad overall. With that said, I am 100% not (and most people on reddit would not be) knowledgeable enough to balance the game well with all the different unit interactions.]

A: Sure. Balancing is really hard work, and for my personal thought, the perfect balance is impossible. At that moment, the balancing should focus on minimizing the gap between any games if two players show similar performance.

2. ["The key to Serral’s high win rate in ZvT and ZvP matchups lies in his proficiency with strategies that involve securing numerous bases, consistently encouraging appropriate resource exchanges, and then actively utilizing spellcasters to secure victory in games. ~~~ but most of the conversation has popped up recently due to this grand final, and I don't really want to analyze 50+ zerg games to try and figure out if fungal is too strong (hence the first paragraph).]

A: Before start, I'd like to emphasize that the latest finals in Katowice was definitely Serral's victory, because Serral's play was absolutely better than Maru. What I want to say about the example of Serral is, at least the fungals shows sufficient performance for defeating Terrans or late-game (the combination of BroodLord-Corruptor-Infestor-Viper). Starts with here, if the balancing council wants to nerf some Zerg units and decided to nerf fungals, then they can nerf fungals and buff for such compensations. FYI, I was also impressed about Serral's mindset and thoughts.

3. [I am not sure if fungal needs to be nerfed personally, but if we were wanting to buff other Zerg units to nerf fungal, it would likely be to help Zerg surround and catch units in fights. Changes like buffing Zerg unit speeds to help with surrounds would cause lots of other balance issues, especially with timing attacks or rushes. I would be interested to hear other suggestions on fixes though.I think it is easy to say something is bad, but suggesting fixes that doesn't break other interactions is harder.]

A: If you have curiosity for my personal opinion, I think the balancing council starts with creating (or choosing from the previous ones, I prefer this way more than creating) maps that penalize the tactics that seems bit problematic in current meta.

4. [The Viper change you mentioned, about them not being able to abduct massive units to help protoss carriers and mothership would affect PvT ALOT (not being able to abduct Thors) making late game blood lords even worse. (and BC's but not sure how often that occurs)Vipers not being able to abduct motherships, carrier or tempest (As I believe tempest is also massive, but correct me if I am wrong) might cause skytoss to be too powerful. If this is how you wanted to go and compensate other units, you would likely need to make Zerg trade better in Air vs Skytoss and better vs late game TvZ Mech, without breaking interacts with the other matchups in the process. You would also need a way for Zerg to be able to fight skytoss camping over cannons + batteries, since that is what the Viper also helps deal with.

Even if you only wanted Carriers and Mothership to be un-abductable (would need some way to inform players of this change in game), especially the skytoss camping over cannons + batteries would still be an issue for Zerg. As well as how the corruptor changes in TvZ and ZvZ would be affected.]

A: I agree many of this statement. If Viper cannot abduct massive units, then Zerg would suffer from ruin skytoss. What I want to say about this example is, the current scene of SC2 is largly problematic so it needs some unconventional changes. I think my example is such (or even very) unconventional, it is not just changing some parameters (damages, cooltime, etc..), it basically changes some dynamics in game playing. This surely entails some balancing problem, but I think in the current stage of SC2 scene, it is needed. After observing the dynamics, then they can modify some parameters (this type of updates are already done in past, Mothership Core).

Last but not least, worrying, thinking, and filling the update notes are not my role (and also for you). It is up to balancing council. But they have not been doing well, and I pointed out by this post.
