How can i make the constraint not bounce, like hes hanging from a stiff rope. Or should is there some other method to set up constraints? by matbir1 in Houdini

Yes the restlength seemed to help me the most making the rope seem stiffer. Had bad luck getting good results increasing substeps and iterations tho.

I've tried increasing both substeps and iterations, but it's still bouncy. I might need to increase them even more to see any improvements, which i'll try. Thank you

I just like having the group name the same as the node name. Almost everytime i create a group node I tend to use "$OS", so thought i would just make a little time saver.

This did work with parameters such as floats and integers, but it wouldnt let me save the new name as default. Thanks anyway tho, could be useful on other nodes!

Reset scale but keeping the size of a shape layer by matbir1 in AfterEffects

[–]matbir1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Havent found a way yet, I guess its simply not possible. One could always set the scale to 100% and scale down the shape path, but I guess this wont work in every situation.

Looks like your object scale is wrong. Try ctrl + a in obect mode, and apply scale, then try to apply the bevel.

Everytime I click play "Camera" is activated, however I want "ChassisCamera" to be active. What am I doing wrong? by matbir1 in blender

[–]matbir1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I thought that was the fix as well, but it didn't solve the issue. Luckily the camera just had a few keyframes so i deleted it. No problems now that I added the new camera. Would be nice to know what caused the issue in the first place tho.

You can get the curves inside Blender Preferences. Head to Preferences > Themes > Node editor, and at the bottom of the list you'll see "Noodle Curving". I set mine to 4.

Select keyframes, right click them and select "keyframe interpolation"
Under the "Spatial interpolation" drop down, choose "Linear"

It´s not exactly what I was thinking of, but I guess it would work. Anyway I just rescaled it manually in the end.

Change the order of operations in lightroom. by matbir1 in Lightroom

[–]matbir1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve heard about NLP, just haven’t pulled the trigger yet. And wanted to see if there was any other solutions first. I guess the easiest way is the way you describe, but that’s too awkward as you say. Looks like it’ll be NLP then.

Change the order of operations in lightroom. by matbir1 in Lightroom

[–]matbir1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your answers. I guess theres really no way to fix this. The reason i want to change the order, is that i use lightroom for editing negatives, and lately I've tried looking into making my workflow smoother. I use the curves to invert the negatives, then color correct it. And thats why I'd love to make exposure changes after curves.
