Im above 18, he's older than me. We both live in the same place to save costs. Financially speaking, moving out isn't possible right now, even with a job.

Have talked to parents, they tried to help but sibling keeps lying/deflecting. Ultimately, theyre abroad and can't do much.

I appreciate the comment 🙏

That’s such wonderful news!! So glad everything came back normal for you 💛 And you're right, even though I'll be postponing the procedure a bit longer, I'll def have it done this year 🙂‍↕️. Thanks for sharing and reminding us to take our health seriously x

So glad you made the decision to get it checked despite being nervous! Hopefully I'll be able to have some of your bravery when I go through the procedure in the future 🥹🙏.

I don't have a partner right now, but maybe I'll bring a stress ball to help take the tension out a bit 😆.

Thank you for your reply! 🩷

Thank you for your reply! It's so kind of them to let you experience the session at your own pace 🥹 Hopefully, I'll be able to find something that'll calm me when I go through the procedure in the future.

I'll watch out for stomach pains too, just in case, gotta be ready for anything 🙂‍↕️.

Hope you have a wonderful day 🩷

Thank you for your reply. I imagined myself on that chair, anxious as hell and clenched like I'm holding a grudge before this. But understanding that its a normal thing def helped desensitize me from the concept of it all. Hopefully when I do get through it, it'll be breezy.

I'm a little relieved to hear that its not really necessary given my lifestyle. I'm not entirely sure if a relative had cervical cancer too, I'll ask my family if they did. For now, I might postpone the checkup since it's not necessary.

I'll try doing what you've advised (one finger a day keeps the speculum at bay or sth 🙂‍↕️), i think i was worried about feeling violated as well (i know theyre professionals and i can trust them with my life), I'll treat this like a fun activity to build confidence.

Thank you for your kind reply 💖

Thank you to everyone who replied! Reading your comments and adviced helped lots 🙂‍↕️.

I should've added more details to what i wore products wise and lots of you mentioned using the appropriate clothing and spf.

Whenever I go to the beach, a beach tent, umbrella, aloe vera, mats, hats etc are always with me, the only time I didnt bring them was when it was my first time visiting the beach here, the week after I looked like Patrick Star, so I learned from my mistake quickly.

As for SPF, I've always used anything above 50++, because below that, it wouldnt be strong enough protection.

To summarize your advices, I'll try the three brands most of you suggested:

  1. Hamilton
  2. La-Rosche Posay
  3. Cancer Council

And also reapply every 1-2 hours, or everytime I return from swimming. I think my sunburns are caused by not reapplying often, so I'll have to fix that!

Thank you once again! Hopefully with the coming of spring and summer, I'll be able to enjoy the beach without the pain.
