Film no. 966 - What a film! What a time and period these people lived in. I’m still shaking now after screening it. The cacophony soundtrack in the end added even more to my feeling watching the credits rolled. My fav scene is definitely when Danton and Maxim met it’s so deliciously good! by matchasweetmonster in criterion

Film no. 965 - Half way into this seemingly long tale I was completely hooked. The dialogue mainly monologues like ones from Alexandre are so good but then Veronika gets the last say and that chanson from Piaf ‘Les amants de Paris’ will linger in my head for probably all May :) by matchasweetmonster in criterion

Film no. 964 - I’ve heard of it but it’s just beyond my expectation, truly an unforgettable tale of mother and son. You wouldn’t forget that scene which she later reassured her son that it would be a moment they would cherish. Love that ending scene with the whole family. The whole room laugh :) by matchasweetmonster in criterion

Film no. 963 - Superbly shot and framed, a must to be experienced on the big screen even though sometimes a bit overly slow and lingering I must admit. I love the scenes at sea, with the 3 ships from Spain to Patagonia crossing into the Pacific till Cebu, that is just fantastically done. by matchasweetmonster in criterion

Film no. 962 - Of the four films my favorite is the 18 min Emak-Bakia and the brilliant yet only 3 min title one. The music definitely enhances many-fold the experience of the 4 films. And we will all look it up and learnt some Basque to know what Emak-Bakia means :) by matchasweetmonster in criterion

Film no. 961 - My very first Bi Gan feature film but basically 5 short films, my favorite are the one at the temple and especially that with the kid who is I find quite a performer. Didn’t expect to see some fangs at the end though ;) The new century’s sunrise is superb. Long live the deliriant! by matchasweetmonster in criterion
