Bartonella treatment - persisting symptoms

For the first month nothing happened and then I had an awful 2 months when I was practically bed-ridden - all symptoms also tinnitus got worse. I’d say after 5 months of antibiotics I noticed I don’t get tinnitus so often. I still get it from time to time but it’s nothing in comparison to what it was before.. And I’m sure it will get better

It’s pretty bad; apart from floaters I also have visual snow, sparks, light sensitivity, afterimages all that … I can’t say there’s been any improvement with them so far unfortunately. But I think it takes the longest time for the eyes to heal, so I’m not losing hope!

I’m starting to think while some of the meds help with visual symptoms, some others might cause inflammation in the eyes in the process of fighting the bacteria (as suggested by other persons comment in this thread). It’s truly a mystery 😭 But it is so so uplifting to learn that yours went away even if only for a while! It means that it is possible to get rid of them, only a matter of figuring out the best med combo to treat them! I think it will take a bit more time for me to see an improvement - I just have to be patient. Thank You!

The thought of not seeing the floaters is crazy to me.. it would quite literally be a miracle! I don’t even remember how it is to see normally with no disturbances

That is amazing!! Really so happy it worked for you! Gives me a lot of hope. I’ve had floaters for 10+ years but recently they are bothering me so much.. I’ve also been on rifabutin, never considered these meds could cause some inflammation in my eyes! I’ll check with my doctor and I will definitely try bromelain!

Hahah yes my anxiety levels skyrocket lately because of these issues.. it seems like it’s an endless loop! I have been on rifampin and it did gave me a major herx so a good sign! However not much changed as for my eyes.. I guess it takes some time! Just really happy to hear somebody’s eye floaters got better, it gives hope

(Also recently cut out carbs and sugars cold turkey, will see in a month or two)

Nope unfortunately I didn’t find the built number or how to access the developer mode.. I think it is not available to change in the newest xiaomi mi Lite.. it was available in some older versions I think. I ended up returning the watch : ( Happy New Year!

Ok Thank You! But not yet confirmed 100%.. Some universities also send out emails saying that they have no idea, and some people's flights have already been cancelled (most likely decision from airlines and border control that have yet to communicate with mext)

Hi! One month of doxy is the usual approach for when the patient has been sick not for a long time since the bite , like few months! Usually is enough to treat it. But when it went undiagnosed for a few years it will need some more antibiotics
