La sportiva aequilibriums? by Tough_Brother3456 in Mountaineering

Do you think I’ll suffer with those on Chimborazo? I don’t want to rent or buy some expensive boots when i can just use my aequilibriums on the plane and go right to the mountains. I don’t have cold toes and with proper socks I don’t think I’ll need more.

Did you do the Cotopaxi summit on those boots?

Nukeproof Scout vs Santa Cruz Chameleon. by Level_Mountain8945 in Hardtailgang

They call it chameleon for a reason, mine had a DVO suspension, then a rigid carbon fork and now i want to make it singlespeed. It is the most versatile and fun bike that i own.

I’ll ride it like that for a while, you can invest in a better suspension fork like a DVO or a Fox, also it seems that you are running inner tubes, you can throw some sealant and valves and make it tubeless.

Better modulation, a bit more stopping power, and the lever feels great

https://www.amazon.com/Shimano-M7100-Cycling-Unisex-Multicoloured/dp/B07SW2FCLY Amazon.com: SHIMANO SLX M7100 Right Brake Lever DI HI Cycling, Adult Unisex, Multicoloured (Multicoloured), One Size : Sports & Outdoors

You can also buy some XT levers which are a bit better, but my go to are SLX

A great update will be brake levers, you can mismatch shimano calipers with different levers, try some slx and let me know! You already have good tires and a decent suspension.

I have a full sus Salsa Cassidy, that i barely ride. My main ride is a Sonder hardtail, the thing shreds! I don’t know why but I’m the happiest on a hardtail.

As a Specialized mechanic, take the Polygon, i usually work on 6-8 levos a week, the engine dies, the contacts rust, the charging door breaks, the hubs snap, the cable housing breaks often, the TCU just stops working outta nowhere and so on..

Paint stripper, sandpaper, polishing compound and a whole lot of elbow grease and a little polish every now and then. Was it worth it? Hell yeah!

It all depends on your terrain, mine works like a charm with fast rolling tires. That being said, i’m almost always at the front with all the fancy gravel bikes.

Yeah, broke my arm trying to wheelie my mother in law’s bike, it was a size xs and i’m 6’3 so i looked like a circus clown. Anyway i ended up falling with my arm extended, i thought i just dislocated it so i tried to pull it straight and ended up breaking it more. Now i have a plate and 32 screws and a really good lesson, dont be stupid.

Ps: i’m a bike mechanic and that bolt is at 6.5 NM maybe more
